Interesting to try the FNAF formula in Renpy of all engines. Very well done considering.
Cool game which generates tension well. The mechanic of sounds relating to specific rooms is a nice idea. I found some of the sound design to be a bit quiet.
Thank you! I definitely agree that the sounds are a little too quiet. I was afraid of making them too loud but I think I overdid it. I’m hoping to update that in a post-jam version.
Beautiful art and great use of sound to communicate spaces!
Really loved the Five Nights at Freddy’s vibes, it was a super fun experience
I just wish it lasted a bit longer because I was really getting into it haha
Excellent job!
Glad you enjoyed! I had planned on making a system to randomize the windows needed to lock and just have a time limit but unfortunately I couldn’t figure out the system in time. I hope to make a longer post-jam version at some point to fix that. Thank you so much for playing!
Yeah, it’s tough to finish everything with such little time, but I think is a great idea!
I’ll be watching for updates :)
I wasn't able to figure out how to actually lock the windows. Nice art! Good job, keep making games!
Thanks for playing! When you start there is a sound that plays. If you follow it to the correct room you can then see an option (below the rooms you can go to) that lets you lock that window.
Interesting VN. It gives off f,af vibes in way. Infortunately it's a bit short, but I guess that's because of the limited time of the jam.
This is a pretty neat VN, I didn't even knew that sounds were important as I just clicked around the rooms and lock the windows as soon as it allows me to xd
Anywho, It's a good game with a sweet ending to it!
Short and sweet, this game is VN and I’d say the issue it has is with the gameplay; the non random sequence of locks and that the game over wasn’t very substantial (I was expecting a scare). If you can I would also add voices, the sounds corresponding to the room was a smart design decision. I liked the happy ending though, and I appreciate a wholesome horror game.
Thanks for playing! I was hoping to have them be random as you suggested but ran out of time to implement it. As for the game over I had an idea for a full ending scene, tying in with the jams theme as well, but never got around to finishing it unfortunately. The game definitely needs it as you mentioned. Adding voices is a great idea and I may consider that if I get around to a post-jam version. Thanks!
Thanks for recording!
It looks like there was a bug where you were able to skip over a bit. The main mechanic is a sound will play and you have to find the room it's coming from. Seems like it skipped straight into the middle of the first 'round' before you clicked the "I'm ready" and the audio was able to cue up.
The jam organizers just let me send out a bug fix for it. Regardless, I'm glad you enjoyed! I'll be sure to try out your game as well.
