Fun puzzle platformer with a clever idea—using the UI as part of the level design was really creative and well executed!

Some levels were quite tough, and my timing wasn’t always great 😅 but it was fun to figure things out and think outside the box to complete them..

Visually, it was simple and cute, but it matched the game’s vibe and had a consistent style.
Too bad there was no audio—an 8-bit track with a nice beat would’ve really added to the experience.

The theme was present—check ✅

Job well done! 💪

Very fun! The volume bar carried me everywhere! I think you did a great job introducing the player to the mechanics and the pace and difficulty scaling was really good. The last level was really difficult, too! But it was not frustrating.

I think some music would have made this even better - especially with the volume bar. I think it would have been a lot of fun to use it for platforming while the music volume is changing at the same time

Such a clever idea! Turning UI elements into actual platforms is super original and made me think in a whole new way.

Some levels were tricky (looking at you, Level 4), but solving them felt really satisfying.

Loved how creative and self-aware the design was — short, smart, and fun!

first game I played in this jam that uses the UI as the main resource for solving puzzles! Great game, great art, very creative!

Very creative take on the theme and had fun playing it. I think the biggest things missing from this were sounds. Also one more tip is to add coyote time, it helps with making platformers less frustrating.

I don't want to give too much feedback on the platforming though as the main gimmick of the game is all ui and text being environment to use. And the art while simple does work, though the red floor made me think it would kill me, since the red spikes deal damage. I started associating red with taking damage so I'd advice from a UX pov to associate certain colors with certain behaviors.

All in all, I enjoyed the puzzles presented

It's funny how ten minutes ago, I've written a comment on a different platformer in this jam, where I said that it would be cool if the UI elements could be used as platforms. I guess you get what you ask for after all :)

I'm gonna start with an obvious problem in this game. Manipulating the volume would be so much more powerful, if there was any sound in the game. I mean, music always builds atmosphere and all, but in your game you literally use the volume slider! That is an awesome mechanic, that you undercut by not having audio. If you want some free music why not check mobygratis.com, they have hundreds of tracks, by Moby, that you can use for free for noncommercial projects. Just a hint :)

The graphic style is simple, but very readable. No complaints on that part :)

The main mechanic really cool, and I can only imagine what you could do with it with more time (opening the pause menu, as a source of new platforms for example).

Also- I liked the difficulty progression. The last level gave me a pause, but then I got, that I need to use all the mechanics I already know. And that felt satisfying!

Over all- really run puzzle platformer, with a great twist, that maybe needs a bit of polish. Keep it up man!

The author of this game took the theme of jam very literally, even making the UI a resource. But lol, it turned out so cool, I didn't even think of it, and the theme's development is excellent, with a minimalist visual that perfectly suits the concept. The only thing I can complain about in this game is that there are sometimes problems with jumping off small cubes, there is no music, and it feels like there is not enough impact from the actions in the game, which is a bit lacking, as sometimes things get lost, and the impact effect is necessary. However, the game is quite good, and I would even expect a sequel after this jam

The idea is just amazing, using the game UI as a resource but I got stuck at level 2 only, I loved the mixture of puzzle and UI, Wow.
It was a really fun game and awesome matching with the theme.

Good Luck

Thank you for playing :)

This is pretty interesting puzzle platformer.

I liked the concept of using UI elements a lot! Colour combination is nice too!

Some music/sound effects would've increased the appeal.

Super clever game design, never seen a mechanic like that before, I think with some audio/polish this game would be perfect! Great work :D

Thanks a lot :D

YOUR UI ARE YOUR PLATFORMS ??? That's so clever.

Neat 8 bit art style and gameplay, too bad there is no sound at all.

Great job on this one !

Thank you so much!

Very creative use of UI! I gave you top marks on audio despite your game not having it,cause you still had "sound design" (Wink wink nudge nudge). I also like how there were new gimmicks at every twist and turn, and how there were clever ways around some obstacles (especially in the case of the last level). My only gripe is that I wish the Y position of the player was locked to the volume slider whenever it was touching, that way the collision doesn't get wonky, and I wouldn't have to jump to use the cool volume slidebar mechanic. Other than that, solid game!

Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it :D (and the sound haha) Yeah I tried fixing this bug during development but didn't have enough time to resolve it. I will check it out after the jam!

Really liked the idea of using the whole game UI as a resource. This one is one of the best games in terms of implementing the given theme in my opinion.

And also the levels are very well designed utilizing those UI elements specially where you lose health and use those health drop to reach higher platforms, loved it.

The only thing thats lacking is the sound. A simple fun background music would have made it so much better. But concept wise its really good. Great job!

GAMEPLAY: I struggled to grasp the core mechanic at first, mostly because the dialogue didn't appear for unknown reasons. Once I got it, it was a clever take on a puzzle-platformer, the tab part especially. I struggled with jumping off the moving hearts, but I think that's my fault. Of course, falling through the volume slider is a problem--I don't have any advice, as I don't make physics games, but do look into it.

VISUALS: With the UI flying around the screen, I definitely appreciate minimalism. The only complaint is the tiny bit of shading on the player box. Maybe some one-line eyeballs would work better. And be cuter. :3

AUDIO: None :( This would definitely be a good game to go full chiptune on. Do appreciate there being a slider (mechanics aside), not enough games do that. Even if there's no audio to slide. Keep that 'round.

THEME: I always appreciate some outside-the-box thinking in jams, and turning UI elements into platforms fits that well.

The concept of this game is actually brilliant! It's such a cool take on the theme! I loved all the puzzles and how you have to come up with interesting solutions. For example, using the volume slider as an elevator and using the falling hearts for platforms was SO FUN! I think music and SFX would have been really nice, but I know there's only so much time in a game jam. I also really liked the simple but vibrant color palette and art style! I would love to see more levels because the idea is just so cool. Keep up the good work!

Okay, this game is simply FANTASTIC — it's easily one of my favorite entries in this game jam so far. I absolutely loved the gameplay; the mechanics in your game are the best I've seen so far. Incredible idea, beautifully designed environment, and well-crafted levels — this truly feels like a game made by a professional. Amazing job!

One small note — and this might just be on my end — but I felt the experience could’ve been even better with some background music. A chill track for solving simple puzzles would’ve added a nice touch.

That said, the game is incredibly addicting. I finished all five levels and still wanted more! I would 100% buy this if I saw it on Steam or any platform. Keep up the fantastic work!

Thank you so much for your feedback!! It makes me really happy that you enjoyed it so much :)) You are totally right about the music, the game feels empty without it but, unfortunately, I didn't have time to do that part.

Heya PatataStudios, the mechanic on tab was a very clever idea! Loved it :D

All in all a very solid platforming experience with some puzzles and smart ideas! Everything is a resource is very well delivered here on multiple layers. I loved the minimalistic art style, it gave me some pico 8 vibes.

Good job!
