Some of the best sound design I've seen in the whole jam! Music, stereo effects, sounds, all great! The shooting mechanic was very successful, as was the whole atmosphere. The low resolution graphics mixed with the heavily distorted shaders did make playing it a bit difficult - having things being obscured was good but the motion again the tile was a bit nauseating. Ran great!
Love love love the art! You did a lot with a little and that's hard! Very coherent aesthetic and one of my favorites in terms of art for sure! At some point it seemed to stop letting me open lockers, but idk if that was something I was doing wrong.
Fun game. Ran into a few glitches, biggest of which was I was able to go through a door and keep going, but the camera stayed on the previous level. I'm assuming it was because I had the key card to go on, but hadn't killed the monsters (out of ammo). Mouse aiming would be a big improvement too, keys were pretty slow to move. Over all though you did a great job and I think with a bit more work this could be really good.
I hit the same walking off the map everyone else did, but I'm going to take that as a sign I made it to the end. Another one of my favorite entries, with vibe just oozing from every corner. The level design, music, sound choice, filters, everything was working so great. The bad guys were legitimately terrifying and the loot seem paced really well. Loved it!
Cool little atmospheric experience. Like other commenters, I got stuck at a certain point where I seemed to be able to walk offscreen forever but it wouldn't load a new level. I liked the slow introduction of the monsters through sound design and blood on the ground, etc. The way the music took its sweet time to start as well. I liked the aiming, just wished I had more ammo. At a certain point it seemed like I could just run away from the creatures instead of facing them. Overall I enjoyed playing it. Nice work!
Pretty fun game, the visual and audio effects create a pretty nice atmosphere. The aiming system is interesting, creating some type clumsiness that can cause some panic moments. I got stuck after going through a room with two monsters, maybe a bug or maybe I miss something. Anyway I enjoyed the game, it's like a mini Dead Space.
I've seen that you submitted the game to another jam also, this is your first GWJ, so you probably didn't know, but FYI for the GWJ you can't submit your game to multiple jams, from the rules on the GWJ page:
> This is an exclusive jam, meaning that entries made to both this jam and all others shall be removed unless otherwise allowed by the organizers.
Ok, was able to play it! The graphics are really cool! I hope I will learn to do something like that one day) And the sound of running is disturbing and adds to the atmosphere.
Though seems like the game wasn't really made for this jam unfortunately) So yeah, didn't get the chaos feeling.
Gives me Starcraft missions that are set in closed spaceships vibes! <3 Lovely graphics, it could be slightly less pixelated and also the feature for dejittering that Godot has could be activated. Also too little ammonition and I somehow went into the wall in the third level and didn't die despite having no life left :D
Very effective use of audio and I really like how the screen gets more distorted as you play. However, I somehow got myself stuck on the stage with the room that has like 4 doors in it. I went through what I thought was the end level door but I was just stuck up there, maybe because there were 2 enemies left alive. Great job overall!
Music and atmosphere seem to be just great, but unfortunately it didn't run for me. I could see just the first screen with Start button, but nothing was interactive. Tried clicking everywhere and pressing bunch of keyboard buttons - no response ( But seems like others were able to run it no problem, so I guess it's on my side.
Rly beautiful! reminds me of signalis. Took me a second to realize how the aiming works but once I did I had fun playing. The screen lighting up on gunshot feels v satisfying too
The atmosphere and aesthetics are great. Very tense gameplay, great job!
I love the art direction and the sound design is awesome. I wasn't sure what some of the pickups did.
I didn't get a chance to finish but I am definitely bookmarking this to come back to it.
The artstyle is very cool and i like how eerie it is. The visual noise was a bit too much and nothing happened when i was out of health it seemed
