The movement was a bit stiff and it was easy to get stuck if I missed some blocks that I needed to break but pretty good for the most part. Please give my game a try too :)

I liked the simple graphics, reminded me of old commodore64 games. The falling could be much faster, if you compare it with ridiculous fishing there is plenty of speed left.  But nice game!

is shovelman in any way related to our hero shovelknight? just kidding, i really like when the games take their names quite literal and make it silly which in return gives chance for a innovative gameplay.

I have no heckin clue how you're meant to get past those compressed spikies. That seems genuinely impossible. The game was quite challenging, honestly a bit too much considering I was on the coward difficulty. The charge bar was a bit slow to go up, and it was very easy to accidentally reset the bar by hitting the side of something. The game tho, was honestly pretty cool, with a unique concept and a variety of mechanics, but I'd argue that the level design needs some work. There were a few parts that felt a bit unforgiving, but with some practice were perfectly achievable, and felt great to finally reach a new checkpoint. I liked the mechanic where slowed time made you jump lower, just an interesting bit of depth that broke up the usual 'hold down fast forward'. It's just a shame that I don't know how to get past the spikies which seems to kill you the moment the button is pressed. Overall the game's neat, nice art and an interesting change of pace on the gameplay!

It is possible to get past them by just slightly touching the top-left of the button and then going left. Thank you for your review!

The control is very interesting and innovative but I'm not good at it. Shovelman! Great and funny!

Hard to find out where the breakable tiles are located but still a funny game.

This game took me a while to get a hold of. At first I was bit bummed out by the slow and bit sluggish movement speed but then I realized that you can speed things up. I could though see that the game could be fast at first and then you could slow it down for some fine tuned movement maybe? The graphical style works with the music and general mood, and when you get the hang of things the game is fun and enjoyable.
