I love Filo (great pun) and his scaling staccon friends! Collectible newspapers were a great touch, super cute and funny--I just wish you had a menu so you can look at them again and maybe see if there were any newspapers (or staccoons?) you missed). The music slapped, the level designs were super fun and enjoyable, and the raccoons and general art were sooooooo cute. Plus staccoon island was really fun to mess around with once you finish the actual puzzles. My favorite game of the jam, great job!

Waittttt did you get the First In Last Out reference.... there's no way... you're the first! Congrats hahaha!
Staccoon/newspaper tracking was on our to-do list but didn't quite get done :(
Shoutout to Felix (flooferdoodle) for spending literally all night laying out Stacoon Island!!
Also here's an extended earlier version of the track if you want to hear some more! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JoQhCkc_O5W8ig4zQkfJpVLq7a-xfx12/view?usp=shari...
Anyway, we're so happy you liked our game and played to the end :)

great game, would have preferred a way to change the mouse sensitivity since high dpi users have issues with the sensitivity.
One of my favorite games I played this jam. Super creative take on the theme, really great level design to invisibly point you where to go, immensely charming art, and little touches of polish that went a long way. Fantastic job!
And now I made a bridge! Cool game, there's quite a lot of content in the map. I just wish stacoons were a bit more dynamic and that they were a bit bigger on the screen but other than that it's excellent.
You clearly put a lot of work into it, congratulations!
I spent almost 30 minutes fully immersed! The volume of content made it really enjoyable! This is definitely a full-on acrophobia game LOL. The puzzles in the game are all well-designed, and most of all, the satisfaction of gathering the CREW and merging them back together at once is fantastic!
Really awesome game! One of the few that I played from start to finish. Fleshed out with good level design. Although I encountered and can see some parts where you don't even need to press some of the big buttons to progress. Which isn't necessarily an issue.
The only issue I had was with the camera at some parts where it was behind objects. Some sort of dithering see through would make this a non issue.
Super cute/10
First of all, I just want to say thank you from the entire Staccoons team and from Filo for reaching Staccon Island! It means the world to us and to him!
Shoutout to Felix (flooferdoodle) who made the bobbing animation (they aren't drowning at least I hope not 😢)
Also, I was actually working on a speedrun timer right towards the end of the jam but we didn't quite get it in in time! Follow my itch to see potential updates and more from this team!
This game is amazing!!! The mechanics are fun and it’s quite impressive technically for a Jam game, the only thing I would criticize would be that the camera is sometimes a bit annoying since the buildings cover it and in my case I think I was close to finishing the game but I was just missing one raccoon to get to the button for the highest building, so I think it would be good to add extra raccoons that aren’t necessary to finish the game but that serve so that if you’re not able to find the last ones you have others to avoid having to go around trying to find the one you’re missing. Example: If you need 15 raccoons to finish the game, there should be 18 spread around the level. (Although maybe that’s already the case and I’m just bad at searching XD) Anyway, amazing game, good job! :3
I mean, where do I begin?
What an achievement to have made this game in mere 4 days. From the cute art and character design to the charming and very fitting music, this game brings you back to the glory days of PS2, when games where just made to be fun, and nothing else. Very well made game that keeps you wanting to stacc 'em all, while having a blast doing so.
Only suggestions that I can think of, would be to perhaps add some wind sounds when you are climbing the big skyscraper, to give you that sense of height. And a cool effect would also be to silence the music when you're standing at the top, to add to the climactic suspense of getting ready to do the longest jump in the game.
I almost feel bad giving you guys suggestions though, as you already did such a great job. This game is a serious contender for becoming at the very least a top 10 game if you ask me. Bravo!
Love this! A great take on the theme! Definitely the most time I've spent on a game so far! Well done team!
The world building goes so hard! Even though there are only raccoons and cars it felt alive. The charm of this really good.
Very fun. It's like if you made Yoshi's in Mario more disposable, and cuter. Diabolical and great. Like many games in this genre, the puzzles become very easy if you try to do much of the optional stuff, causing some accidental sequence breaking on my part xD
Cuter than Yoshi??? That's some high praise 🫶
The sequence breaking is super intended!!! (but then is it even still sequence breaking? what even is the sequence? these are questions for a philosopher or something)
But anyway, we wanted to bring you the joy of cheating! If you want another game where you can (and are encouraged to) cheat to your heart's content, check out our other game from GMTK 2023 https://jrschappert.itch.io/the-adventures-of-radish-boy-2

It was really creative, but it got hard soon :)) I saved it to complete it when I had the full opportunity. Good job.
A delightfully silly game that had the perfect amount of platforming, puzzles, and laughs. Whatever force emboldened your team to make an open-world game in 4 days clearly had your best interests at heart, because the end result was an amazing experience.
Loved the concept and the game itself was incredibly charming. The gameplay was intuitive and a ton of fun!
I absolutely love seeing the word "intuitive" here... that was probably my main focus in this jam, making an open-world where players wouldn't get confused about where to go and what to do-- one of the things we did that I think was the most helpful for this was the button camera cuts, but there's a lot of work that goes into getting that word "intuitive" to pop up in our comments! Anyway, thank you so much for playing!
