Absolutely lovely. Full review in dms.

Developer

Thank you so much! And thanks again for the review :)

Nice concept, and the music is really soothing ! Maybe flowers should take more time to grow but earn more to recreate the calming feeling of growing a garden and harvesting flowers, as it is it feels a bit like whack-a-mole when you have a bunch of flowers. Also, is there not a way to cancel a misplaced land besides resetting the whole level ?

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! The more expensive flowers take longer to grow, but it's not that big of a difference, so I might want to emphasize the differences more. Originally I wanted to make a clock-like timer to show time left on the plants, perhaps I could even write the actual time left in mm:ss, if I can find an elegant way to implement that.

No way to remove land made it to the game before deadline, but extra land does not count when comparing the pattern you're going for. But being able to remove land was a feature that was supposed to be there.

Thanks again, and thank you for playing!

Relaxing and fun game. Couldn't take my eyes off it. Good job !

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words, that means a lot to me! Thanks for playing!

Really fun and calming game with some satisfying sounds! the only thing i would recommend is adding a sort of click and drag system so you can swipe the mouse to harvest multiple flowers at once
but overall really great!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the sounds! Thanks for the feedback, yeah, I think a dragging mechanic would be pretty satisfying for sure. Thanks for playing :)

very pretty game! The match the flowers wasnt really clear from the start I was just creating a flower and then saw the zoom function. Other then that very good game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! The game definitely needs to have clearer instructions. Thanks for playing! :)

That was a beautiful game. Nice art and soothing music. It would've been nice if the flowers automatically get harvested. Had fun playing!!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a ton for playing and for the kind words, that's really heartwarming <3 So happy to hear that you had fun playing!

So much fun! Reminds me a bit of Minecraft Skyblock! It's always so much fun building something big from scratch! Excellent work!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words :) You're right, it might not be a bad idea to push the game in that direction! Thanks for playing!

Great concept for making an incremental game based around gardening, but it's hard to call this a relaxing game with all the clicking lol. As other people said, an auto harvest mechanic would be really good. There's also an annoying bug that I couldn't reproduce where clicking to harvest doesn't register sometimes. Other than that, keep it up!

Developer

Thank you very much for the kind words and for the feedback! I assure you, I really tried to fix that pesky bug before deadline, but didn't manage to, unfortunately hehe. Thank you for playing!

The visuals, music, and sound effects fit the theme of the game quite well. If I were to give two critiques, it would be that the cost of each plant should be displayed below their buttons (so you don't have to hover to see it), and that there should be an easier collection mechanism to help out my poor index finger. Overall though, this seems like a nice relaxing idle clicker game.

Developer

Showing the cost directly on the action bar would make more sense, and I agree about adding some kind of auto collection too. Thank you for the feedback, and thank you for playing!

I'm so confused on how to add fields to the map but i like the pixel art and the gardning theme !

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback! I will try and implement more user feedback in the game, to make things like that clearer in the future. Thanks a ton for playing!

Thank for making this game it was cool to play !

Nice meditative little game. Art and music are good. There are some minor bugs, but game is still enjoyable.

I would like more challenging mechanics (maybe timer) or easier harvesting (maybe by hovering plants with LMB holding).

Nevertheless, for the solo project it's very great!

Also i would appreciate if you try our game too :3

Developer

Thank you very much for playing and for leaving a comment! It's great to hear that you enjoyed the game! Adding a challenge mode that has a timer wouldn't be a bad idea, and hovering to harvest would also ease the muscles in your index finger, so I'll definitely consider those. Thanks again for the kind words and for stopping by!

A soothing take on a clicker game. I enjoyed matching up my garden to the goal for the level, and it felt satisfying to complete a garden. I actually do enjoy the isometric pixel style, it works really well for me, and the music fit the relaxing vibe as well. Others have mentioned having a feature like drag to harvest, which I agree would have been nice to have for the sake of my fingers. If this became a full scale game, perhaps some sort of autoclick mechanic could be purchased? Other than that, my only real critique is that this does feel like a bit of a stretch on the "Build to Scale" theme, but overall this was a fun, cozy game that I enjoyed playing.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks a ton for the feedback, that means a lot! I never really managed to get any real testing done, as I only just got the levels made with 30 minutes remaining. Otherwise I would probably also have had tired enough fingers to have put in an auto-clicker mechanic, haha :D Thanks again for playing and for taking your time to comment!

This is a really relaxing game with a really nice art, however, I have some suggestions:

  1. Replacing isometric with top-down view
  2. Adding a new mechanic because spamming left click gets boring after some time.
  3. Adding new mechanics in new levels to avoid repetitive gameplay
  4. Using more tiles and none square canvas
  5. Choosing a better font

These are the only problems I can think of. Sorry if that soundes rude or aggressive. I hope I see more relaxing  and beatiful games like this from you with upgraded gameplay to make it perfect!

Developer

Thank you very much for playing leaving a comment! You don't sound rude or aggressive at all, I'm just appreciative of you taking your time to write down all this feedback, I will definitely keep it in mind moving forward. Thanks again!

Pretty game! I agree with most other comments here about QOL changes, but other than that awesome job! :)

Thank you for playing! :)

Relaxing game - sometime the clicks didn't register, also was hoping for some automation of it or drag tool as it gets a little repetitive just clicking.

The art looked great and liked the concept of it alot!

The music was very nice and zen

the clearing of the land felt a little off - almost wanted to just overwrite rather than start again.

Nice entry!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! An automation or dragging mechanic would probably have been a great addition to the game! Also more intuitive clearing of land, you're so right. Thank you very much for playing and for your comment!

Very relaxing game, and cool concept. I wish I could keep my cursor down and just pass over plants to collect them, because at the end I was just spamming clicks and my finger was becoming sore

Developer

Thank you for the kind words and the comment. Very useful feedback, I will make a note of that. Thanks again!

I like the mix of the visuals and the music, it's very relaxing. May have run into a bug where all my plants stopped spawning any new plants, but once I refreshed the page and did the exact same placements I could play again with no issue, not sure how to repro.

Developer

That's weird, I haven't encountered that specific bug myself. But that is good to know, thank you for pointing it out! Thanks a ton for playing and for the feedback.
