Francium is enchanting! I voted five stars for every listed point and I really mean it! The use of such beautiful water colours as backgrounds and the basic idea are so great, and the cute robots are perfectly fit in it. I loved each one of them! And I love the peculiar mix of poetry and sense of humor underlying all Simon's creations... it is unique! Hopefully such a fantastic idea will have further developments. In one word: A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
Thank you dear Struzzo! Yes hopefully there will be further developments? :)
This game huge! So many loveley characters and unique backgrounds. You've done a great job making the characters fit into your paintings. And the characters are really memorable - my favorites are robocob (the secret star of the game) and the monk. Wonderful!
I too had trouble finding the ice cream. Maybe a cursor reacting to active objects would be a good idea?
Thank youuu Esmeralda for your message! I didn't check this page earlier (I thought the comments would be on the page of the game).
Yeah I'll try to improve the ice cream thing in the next update! Good idea :)
Your game was amazing and lovely too, I'll try to leave a comment too, now that I know it's possible on the submission page...
The main character is so CUTE. The humor is really great! I've got stock at the ice cream thingy. I put the trash on the ground near the dog but it didn't toggle any ice cream. I don't know if it's a bug but great job here!
Thanks glitchy for your message! I didn't check this page earlier (I thought the comments would be on the page of the game).
Yeah as I said to Esmeralda I'll try to improve the ice cream thing in the next update!
It's not a bug actually, the hero is stuck on purpose and you have to click on the ice cream in the pile of garbage (it's some pixel hunt), but it's not clear, I'll fix this for v1.2 ;)
oh I see I was not really able to find the ice cream. I tried clicking but eh :/
But hey! Good job here!
This is wonderful! Great variety of characters and locations... done in 15 days, congratulations!
The art is cool and the idea is original and very interesting... I love it!
Great work!
Thanks Juanjito Sama! Not in 15 days but in one week (I wasn't available in the first week!). But all the watercolor paintings were already done (Summer holidays paintings).
Next Jam: I'll work hard to amaze you with Unity hahahahahahahahaha (who knows?)
Obviously, in 15 days, Simon made us a complete game with a multitude of characters, dialogues, objects, ... It is also amazing to see, while most of the participants have essentially revolved around a specific place / setting, Simon have varied considerably the backgrounds (hand painted, please!) to offer a touching and charming quest. A positive, poetic game, all to the measure of its creator. Thank you for this peaceful adventure ^ _ ^
Thank you dear Yaz! I didn't check this page earlier (I thought the comments would be on the page of the game).
Very happy that you liked the game. When I started the Jam I didn't know what to do, and if I would even be able to finish something in time. I worked until the very last minute before deadline haha
But I was very motivated by your Jam, the theme, the restrictions, and I thought that I really owed you one for the great music your made for Boinihi!
To be totally clear, the watercolor backgrounds were not made during the Jam (but we were allowed to use existing assets): I created them in my summer holidays over several years. They were painted in different regions of France, in different villages, so the most difficult in this Jam was to use them in a logical way in order to give sense to this small city of Francium.
Thanks to you for making this Jam, and for creating the terrible Nevroz :D (yes it traumatized me!)
So many characters, so many locations! The art is adorable and the game much more than I expected for such a short amount of time. The ending was indeed unexpected.
Ahah yes, unexpected ending! (even for me!)
Did you find all the restrictions too? (blue doors, dark silhouette, etc)
Thank you Kikimora-chan for your support during the Jam by sharing motivation and progress! It helps all the participants to see your energy. Hekate was a very nice experimental game too, I enjoyed every minute of it.
Oh yes, I think I found them all! :)
You are motivating and inspiring too, with your project - showing how traditional art can shine in a game. :)
