Loved the turbo boosts! I think the mouse sensitivity is a little too high - but the game is great! Well done!

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Submitted(+1)

polish game and effect. Good job !

Developer

Thank you so much!

Submitted(+1)

Liked how it looks! I thought the mouse too sensitive

Developer

Thank you!
Yeah, I agree. It's a little bit weird in this game. But there's a button to adjust it :)

Submitted(+1)

Looks really nice!

Developer

Thank you!

Submitted(+1)

Your game is amazing! It's just perfect... 5 stars! (just a too high sensitivity...)

Developer(+1)

Thank you, means a lot to me :)
Yeah the camera sens is a litte bit weird in this one :-/ That's why I added a button to change camera sens

Submitted(+1)

This is probably one of the most fun games I've played so far! I love the ominous piano music and the atmospheric fog! :D

Developer

Aw, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Submitted(+1)

That was quite an experience, that giga brain is a bit sus I gotta say.
The atmosphere in this game was perfect usage of the weird piano keys with outer space was a cool idea!
Speed boosts are always welcome. the only critic I have is maybe have another objective other than collecting a certain item for giga brain.
Awesome work !

Developer

Thanks for your valuable feedback! I agree, more variety regarding objectives would have been cool! Next time I'll put more time in gameplay variety :)

Very nice. I love the 'plot twist' at the end! I played Cloud Escape on steam, maybe it's fun to speedrun this game as well :)

Developer(+1)

Hehe, thank you so much! Glad you liked the little plot twist :D
Oh and thank you for playing Cloud Escape! Means a lot to me :)

Submitted(+1)

This was cool, but a lot of times the fog made it near impossible to see.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I must say, it was a intentional decision to benefit the exploration aspect of the game. But I am not sure if it was a good one :D
Yeah I agree, sometimes it's really hard to see the objectives! Will do better next time

Submitted(+1)

I wonder if you were inspired by void from Risk of Rain 2?

Developer

Oh, I never really played that one sadly

Just making a game in 3 days is impressive, making a game with these graphics in 3 days? I don't even know what to say. Amazing work!

Developer

Thank you so much! But I have to say that I relied a lot on pre-made assets from the Asset Store! :)

Submitted(+1)

Man, what a treat!

I liked a lot and the option to choose between performance and quality was very nice of you.

Good job!

Developer

Thank you! These volumetrics are pretty demanding so I thought it would be necessary :)

Submitted(+1)

Bears... in... spaaaccceee! Visually nice, but a bit clunky.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! Do you mean the controls? :)

Submitted

Not the controls. More-so the camera movement is a bit disorienting: the way it shifts around, even when not moving the mouse (or immediately after stopping mouse movement). Also, the minimum camera sensitivity is still pretty high.

Submitted(+1)

Cool environment and  very impressive visuals for a 3 day jam! I feel like it was lacking a lot in terms of gameplay and I feel there could've been a bit more to it than "Run here, pick up this, avoid this rock".

Developer

Thanks for the good feedback! I feel what you are saying and I have the same impression. It's really hard to come up with some good ideas and also implementing these ideas in the given time frame! Next time I'll put more time into the thinking process I guess :)

DUDE ! So funny to fall on your game without knowing. I was like "Andreas Baum... I know this name..." xD

I love your YouTube videos ♥

FEEDBACKS :

- sensitivity is nice to control but I had to go until 40 for the gamepad. And the mouse sensibility was WAY too high xD

- too much text to read

- font hard to read

- the idea of zone gravity/no-gravity is SO COOL

- I love the piano but atmospheric music would fit the visual more

- platforming + 3D is really hard combo to make right...

- Fedex feeling...

- I'm colorblind and from far, boosts and microships are the same

- I was waiting for the "Sonic" moment. Really nice feeling to run fast after a slow game :)

- nice ending :D

Developer(+1)

Wow! Thanks for the outstanding feedback list and it's a cool surprise that you watch my videos on YT :)

I really had trouble with the sensitivity. Somehow it was really frame rate dependent and yeah, the mouse is really fast compared to the gamepad. Will need to check this one out to get it right next time!

I can agree with the other points, thanks for pointing out!

The most valuable feedback item was the colorblind aspect. Once again I got reminded how important it is to take care of things like that as well, thank you! Will do better next time :)

Thanks for playing man!

Submitted(+1)

As a colorblind, I'm really happy to watch videos about accessibility (GMTK ♥) :D

For the sensitivity, an easy way would be :

- creating 2 variables (keyboard & mouse, gamepad)

- switching when you change controller

- using Time.deltaTime to fix this frame dependency problem ;)

Developer(+1)

Yeah, it's an important topic! I also enjoy the GMTK videos, really in-depth and actually helpful for devs!

Thanks for the suggestions. Using 2 variables for the different input modules is a good idea!
The problem regarding the frame rate dependency comes from Unity's Cinemachine Input Provider (I guess) or maybe the Axis Control itself. I found a similar bug inside the Cinemachine bug tracker, maybe that's my problem. Input/Timings are handled by Cinemachine, I haven't changed anything here :(

Submitted(+1)

Cinemachine can be buggy but overall it's a really powerfull tool that I love ♥

(it's what I used in WASD quartet btw :) )

The game play kept itself fresh and the setting was unique and interesting.  I got a little bored of running around I mainly stayed to see what the big brain was up to.

My favourite moment in the game was when I realized I could jump into the lower gravity area to collect the chip when i had gotten used to the higher G red dome. That was exciting!

For me the music was a little out of place. Overall the game was surprising and enjoyed the narrative side of it! Cool game.

Developer(+1)

Hey and thank you for you valuable feedback!
I can understand your feedback and agree - there could have been more "exploration" and maybe a little more "action" or "something". Also the pace is relatively slow - will do better next time!

Glad you liked the gravity part :) One of my favorites as well hehe

Submitted(+1)

Good Game! I must applaud the effort of making a 3D game! and it does works ^^ The game have a nice difficulty curve, and the gameplay is good, although I would have love to see more (and I know it’s hard) customly made assets! I would also have choosen another font. The story is a really good addition to the game, and the ending cutscene is awsome !

GG

Developer

Hey, thanks so much for the kind words and feedback you provided! :)

I agree, more hand-made assets would be cool! I guess I need to improve my modeling skills and confidence. Creating the terrain took way to long! But it's definitely something I should work on and improve!

Oh yeah, some people pointed out that the font was not the best choice - I can really agree now and next time the focus should be on readability. Noted and will do better next time :)

Glad you liked the ending scene, hehe. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Great game, congratulations on doing it all in such a short time! However, I admit I had some anxiety with the home screen

Developer

Thank you and sorry to hear that. It's really hard to estimate the reactions of players to certain imagery. Sorry :(

Submitted(+1)

Was the cover image AI art? It has the distinct mijourney look to it

Developer

Yeah, it was made with Midjourney, but only parts of it. The rest is Photoshop :)

Submitted(+1)

Nice, yeah, I use midjourney myself, its quite an amazing tool

Submitted(+1)

Pretty cool! It wasn't running smoothly, but it was a cool concept

Developer

Thank you! :)
Yeah, I guess the volumetric stuff is pretty demanding

Submitted(+1)

haha, yeah
