The game was great overall. My only problem is that slimes are really annoying. I get it that they should be easy since they don't hunt the player, but it's really hard to shoot them. Instead of random movement, they could follow some predefined pattern, like going in circle or along a line.

Cool game, interesting idea that fits the theme well. Some feedback:

-The AI sometimes aims at enemies through walls. This could be fixed easily with a raycast check

-The enemy balancing feels a little off - I got the impression that the slimes were supposed to be the easiest enemies, but they felt significantly harder than the bats and the octopuses

-Consider adding some checkpoints. If the player dies near the end and is sent back to the very start of the game, they will probably just quit

-There should be a key to advance text boxes, rather than an on-screen button that has to be clicked. It's a little annoying when the rest of the game is played only with the keyboard, but you have to grab the mouse just to click through text boxes

Good game. I guess you provide the robot with position to destroy enemies and play as a cat with blue eyes. Music and everything is nice.

But tries to make you read long text. I didn't care for the text. Here for the gameplay not robot cat etc. story.

Nice take on the theme. Often the AI tried to shoot an enemy behind the wall instead of the one in front of it

Developer

Well, that’s a bit intentional - the “AI” itself is programmed to target the closest enemy. That includes the one in other rooms, unfortunately.

Thanks for pointing this out tho - a good idea might be to spawn them in later on when it’s needed. But now, perhaps consider this as a feature players have to overcome.

super unique idea and good mechanic, I love the whole game , you should improve the way you kill enemies because it's a little frustrating or maybe I am bad lol ,good job

Nice game

well i love story driven games, but what is frustating is killing enemies you already killed when you respawn

Developer

Enemies respawning when you die is an intended game mechanic

Its partly to prevent cheese, but the real reason is to punish the player for dying in the first place

oh bruh

Developer

I do understand that it might make the game repetitive though, introducing some randomness might be a good idea later on, while keeping the “consequences” of dying in game.

Thanks for pointing it out!

really cool the concept is very original!

Very well done, you got the topic right and the visuals were pretty nice.

I really enjoyed the concept of having to aid your companion aim at the baddies :P

I think the only issue with this game is the balancing in difficulty. I think the Bats were easier than the slimes and because of the slimes sporadic movement it made them hard to hit! however it was still a good game ! Enjoyable for sure :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback - I see that balancing should have more attention :)

Really liked the challenge of helping the laser hit the enemies. Nice one!
