really cool but quite long sometimes (the timer is a great idea!) and when loosing there is no quit button so it just got stuck into loosing again and again.
also omegaAlpha (or something like that) is too strong !
a fast forward/accelerate button could be a good idea for long matchs (when both player have low attack and lots of health)
quite addictive, one of my favorite game so far.
I agree with exit button,but cuz game is small you can just refresh page,and it almost same(lazy me) :>
Fast forward is not a bad idea,i actually was thinking about it too,but i dunno how it will work for charged shots(player do them by himself)
Omega is final boss so yea,no matter what you do it will be a threat.He all powerful AI,but it doesnt have a player partner like you ;)
So in the end by using charged shots and building a decent AI program,and sometimes a bit of luck ,you will finally overcome him.
I wanted last opponent be different and also represent a theme "Coop with AI".In this battle you need to work together with AI to defeat him,but also player actions impact on match is huge (most of times AI win by itself,if he is better then opponent,but it depends on build your using).

I like the idea! I have to say that I had the same issue with the game soft locking either when starting the game (after picking the AI type at the start) or after selecting one of the upgrades. I never got past upgrading stuff once. But I'll rate based on what I have played. The colors look nice in my opinion. I also really like those triangles in the background because they are moving around and therefore making the game more alive. The idea fits the topic. The sounds are ok, but I do miss some background music. The game is very creative. Other than bugs, a pretty good game! Suggestion for the future: since you are making this in Godot, maybe you could also upload the non-web versions of the game for people to play, just in case some web bugs occur. :)

Yes bugs do happen,and this is a gamejam after all.But strange thing - it never happens to me :D

I can agree that these are the worst kind of bugs. Recently I made a game that worked fine everywhere except for some really specific AMD GPUs. I have some AMD GPUs but everything works fine for those, so debugging is a pain. My system: Windows, AMD CPU, Nvidia GPU, Chrome.

This is a great spin on the theme! Pong x idle game is a surprisingly good genre mashup :) very playable! It would be cool to see some whacky upgrades in a game like this - like if you could give your AI access to elemental moves or time bending abilities? Cool fun anyway ^_^
Thanks,i think its good ideas.Originally i was planning to add several moves to make player actions do moreimpact, but time limit and potential bugs - it was too hard for me.But still some of this can be added after jam.Will see.

Cool concept. The game pacing was very slow, but It's cool to whatch your little pong buddy upgrade and play better.
Color selecton wasn't the best. I usually have problems selecting colors, so I use palette generators like Paletton(https://paletton.com/#uid=1000u0kllllaFw0g0qFqFg0w0aF), Coolors (https://coolors.co/) or Muzi (https://colors.muz.li/).
Funny enough original pacing was more like in original game - MUCH SLOWER :D
For me game plays too fast now.Also, playtime around 10 minutes , not very long(maybe bad for gamejam i dunno,this is my first time)

Cool concept, I was actually thinking about pong when coming up with an idea for the jam, but discarded it pretty quickly :D You made a good little game. I've encountered some issues with the game soft locking after picking upgrades, but bugs happen you know. What I don't like about are the visuals, especially colors. You picked the worst combination, I don't know why? :D Also I wish it had more juice! It's pong afterall
Yes i agree with you.Problem only have 2 days and with Godot engine particle system effects working strange in web stuff i dont have much time.I will definitely keep this in mind later,maybe will update game after jam,or make a separate version.
And about color - it is matter of taste.For me this is nice colors.I agree what blue will be better for walls,but i want to make something in style of matrix colors.So yea,maybe will be adding different color schemes later? Will see.

Thanks.Well you get upgrade only after you win,so if you keep losing it does mean with current build you cant beat this opponent(different bots have different stats and ai level).Restart or maybe try to use charge shots more?(it actually required on last boss)
Anyway i hope you like it,even if you give up on game in the end :(
I tried playing it like 4 times but I always got in a softlock waiting for the next round to start. :(
The most consecutive wins I had were three but regarding that I liked the game, the creativity using upgrades to your AI and play better is simply amazing!
What do u mean softlock? It cant be...Maybe timer just got to zero and current round is restarting? Or you just died several times because choose a class with low hp? Describe a problem better,i need to know!

I think what he means is what is happening to me as well, with Easy AI you pick reaction time as a reward and it freezes the game.

Exactly, the game freezes selecting the Easy AI, or after getting some upgrades :(
I have a question - what do you guys means by EASY AI? You mean EDGE? Or u mean AI skill upgrade ? Cuz in game where is no EASY AI...

But I'm the kind of player who likes to play fast-paced games. If I don't operate for a long time, I will feel a little bored.

On effects part i agree with you.And in game you actually can do a super shot be pressing a button.But cos i dont have time this button will appear only after shot is charged,that will happen much more often on later levels,cuz u upgrade it stat more(if you do ofcourse)But, i think ,most people will miss it(who wiil read a text in help option right?)
I love this interpretation of the theme! I'd like to have a tad bit more control (say, being able to interact with the ball using your mouse) so that it doesn't have the same flaws as an OP tower defense game.
Well the point was "collaborate with AI" not "collaborate with a ball".I am just joking :)
You can actually interact with AI be pressing supershot button when it appears on screen.Will happen more often on later stages,cuz u upgrade it stat more, or matches became longer, cuz opponents have more health.Well...thanks for feedback,glad you like it)
Also what is OP tower defence?
By OP tower defense I just mean that in tower defense games - especially in later stages, you have an unbeatable tower, and there's nothing really to do.
Well final boss is not easy to beat,cuz it can only be beaten with charge shots or VERY good luck. But yea, more interactions in game was be better, I will keep some of yours and other people suggestions in mind for this or future projects.Thanks for explanation!

Originally game must be beaten in 1 try(like roguelike), but because of some rng involved, i decided to add ability to replay level,so people dont get mad at me :) I think it makes game better overall.
Really original. I like the robotic voice and the multiple upgrades. Maybe make the player's pong a different color? Nice game!
Yea,originally game must have avatars for every ai(even for a player ai) and different dialogs from bots,also several backgrounds and colors.But i scrap this idea cos too much work for 2 days project.
