Cool ideas! I like the narrative, and the art is cute :D

Thank you so much for playing. I appreciate it loved your game

Submitted(+1)

cool use of the idea, but needs quite a bit of polishing with the music and collisions.

Developer

I agree as well, ran out of time. thanks for reviewing and playing my game

Submitted(+1)

Loved it! But:
- Lacked sounds aside from 1 song

- Song did not loop

- Jumping felt unresponsive. Add coyote time?

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing! Yes I'm still rather new at godot, and many had taught me how to keep it looping throughout levels, and the platforming could of used more tweeking by me, But I ignored it for story, definitely won't do it next time. Thanks for your honesty review, I'll check you game out

Submitted(+1)

Thanks :)

Sound looping is pretty easy, it's just in the sound material. Fellow godotter here :)

Really nice game! love the atmosphere. Well done indeed!

Developer

thank you so much! I'm glad you liked my game, I'll check your out in a bit

Cool concept, I like the idea of trying to escape the game by essentially breaking it.  I like the dialogue and the disturbing teeth on everything lol. Good job! Check out my game if you can :)

Developer

thank you so much for checking out my game! I appreciate it, yeah definitely,  I'll go check your out now

Well done lad! A game full of twists! On the first level where the flag was still neutral, it felt weird to climb over it. But then seeing it move around with rows of teeth... disturbing lad!

Also, as a fellow Godot user, may I share a small tip?

  1. In regards to the audio as time passed the music stopped. I just make a loop in one of my Global/Autoloaded scenes by going to the Audiostreamplayer, Node-> Signals, and emit the finished() signal to your script. Then $Audiostreamplayer.play() and you create an infinite music loop!
  2. In the dark level I perhaps using the Audiostreamplayer instead of the Audiostreamplayer2D will stop the issues with sounds playing from different parts of players audio devices. Lately I've gotten used to using Audiostreamplayer for effects. If its a game where you can move the camera around, and you have to explore or something approaches, I use Audiostreamplayer2D. Try them and see!

thanks so much for the tips! I appreciate it, still new to godot

I am new as well! So I am really happy to see fellow developers that we can help and share with each other hints! :D

Developer

oh man that's awesome! i would love to team up with you someday

Cool game, I liked how you twisted the coin and flag into enemies, I liked the animations for them! I thought the dark level was really cool, and so was the overall progression of how the game starts glitching more and more.

Although the theme is involved in the story in a cool way, it doesn't factor into the gameplay at all. The gameplay is just avoid bad thing and hit good thing, but the bad and good things are switched. This is a pretty minor gripe though just relating to the game's theme, and it's a well made game overall, so well done!

Developer

yeah i could of added more to the gameplay honestly, but i appreciate it. thanks for playing

Damn. nice game. Well done.

Developer

thanks for playing! I appreciate it

This is t he only game I have given all 5 stars. You deserve it 'Lad'.

Developer

thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed this, glad my hard work is paying off lol

The game itself was very fun (and laggy) and well executed, but your idea was sort of uncreative and very obvious to do.  Still great game though

Developer

I appreciate your honest review, thanks

I finished it fairly quickly and It was entertaining. I'm not sure if the flags were intended to be killed but if you jump on top of them you can kill them without concern.

Still played it fair and it was good. I mean at least you finished yours hahaha. Great submission <3

Developer

thanks for playing my game! I'll check your out in a bit, yeah i left that there by accident and when I submitted it, I looked and saw that and was like oh well, lol

Cute idea. I love the angry flags.

Developer

the flag monster was one of those idea I immediately had to design and put in, the moment I came up with it lol, thank you so much for trying out my game, and thanks for the advice ❤

Nice idea and execution, good job  (although that camera jitter was a bit distracting at times)

Developer

oh you had issues with the camera? oh man, I'll make sure i'll improve that in the future, thanks for playing my game

Submitted

Wow, i didn't expected for this game to have such a dark ending O.o

Making the enemies stompable made the game so easy, and the game felt a bit empty (other than the story ofc), i should personally lean more on the platformer side, but other than that good job!!

Developer

yeah i know what you mean by empty, I ignored the platform for the story unfortunately. thanks for checking out my game! i appreciate it
