My friend made the music. He is cool with it being shown on videos.

Well done, a simple and good idea. I like the overall feel of the game, the movement is very smooth. Unfortunately after a while it get boring as it is not really hard to move through the levels, but often just trial and error, which gets repetitive.

It's a 2d version of our game! So obviously I like it ;).

I would say - it's frustrating that sometimes you are at an edge that you can't see past, so sometimes all you can do is throw yourself forward and hope that you don't die. Then you do. So it's impossible to complete without dying. Which is a bit frustrating.

(In our game we tried to make it possible to complete without dying because even in the dark you have all the information you need... although our game ended up being a bit too difficult anyway)

The sound effect when dying stays with you :)

Simple but colorful and there are multiple games with this kind of concept but it does play satisfactory :). Jumping and moving was smooth feeling. Light and dark well programmed.

Good work :)!

Well done mate, the effect is also verry cool

Nice job! I made something pretty similar in concept, so you know what they say, great minds think alike? Haha, but on a serious note, this was a really fun game!  The movement was really smooth and responsive and I loved the lighting effect. Nice job!

Good idea, but it's a little frustrating to play

Cool game, it fits the theme very well, it's fun and challenging, and it is very similar to mine, except in my game you don't see the spikes.

I generally give harsh criticism, so when I say this is fantastic, I mean it! We had a few ideas and thought of doing something quite similar actually and you executed it way better than I could have, you just want to keep seeing more of the level it's great! And the death crunch packs a punch, very good submission overall.

Great game! I really love the simplistic visuals.

I think a total death counter at the end would be a nice addition, it would allow players to compare their performance. Really cool nonetheless!

i really liked the idea and the game was very fun. There was just a huge dificulty spike at the last level where you suddenly had to do a pixel perfect jump, other than that great game

Very cool concept!

Really cool game!

I really like the art style, sounds and music. The idea here is also great!

Good job!

Your game has probably the best implementation of the 'Level Reveals as You Die' idea.
The visuals are really good. Simple, but that's what makes them so beautiful.

Really good concept and fits the topic perfectly, love the simple aesthetic. I ended up getting stuck on the start of the 4th or 5th level. But was good fun, great effort!

I really liked playing through this! The difficulty was just right, challenging enough to keep me interested and engaged but not too much to get me to be too frustrated. I liked the little addition of how many times you died in one level too, my record was 50 :). Even when dying at the very end of a level, I didn't get discouraged by it because the respawn time was so fast and the levels were so short, yet still satisfying to complete because they each felt so unique. Great job with this game!

this game should win for simplicity, really fun to play!

Nicely done! You are I both did the "failure reveals a path" concept, but mine was puzzle based while yours was action based. Good job. It was a bit too frustrating for my platforming skills, but I really like the aesthetic!

This is a really fun game, I loved it! The way you've used the lighting in this game is a stroke of genius and I really enjoyed how it was implemented. You've got strong level design as well and the controls feel super tight. Awesome work!
