Music was sweet and well suited for this type of art. The theme of the game was well implemented! nice!

well the concept is good, no felt bugs  and good work, I think the best game I played so far...

this was a very fun and solid platformer. I enjoyed playing this a lot.

It's great. I like how you can pass some levels with different strats and having several characters is a nice additionto the concept

Great job, you added quite a lot of levels. I didn't have any problem understanding the goal or the mechanics. You build on the concept enough so it doesn't feel repetitive.

Congrats :)

This game is very well made, I love the music and the art. Maybe add a tutorial level next time?

Developer

I tried doing away with tutorials by designing the first 3 levels as tutorials themselves, learning Megaman style I guess. But some people have mentioned that a tutorial would have been helpful. I'll 100% add an option in the menu for a tutorial next time!

Very good game. But Soundcontolls where i can turn down the volume would be nice.👍

Developer

Sorry about that, some people have told me the music volume was very loud! I'll make sure to add volume options in future games :)

This game was just so fun from the very beginning. I really like the idea and the music choice is really good! all around really good job!

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words :)

I'm super happy to hear you had fun playing :D

You should teach the player better on whar the red/blue character does, but other than that i found it a really good platformer!! Good Job!!

Developer(+1)

I tried doing that with the first 2 levels, but I should have made at least 2 stages for each character where you can learn all they can do, its something ill keep in mind for future games :)

The art, music and puzzle solving all come together really nicely in your game. It is very simple, challenging and fun! I agree with @footnotesforthefuture that you could have focused more on the mechanic of platform or no platform, but it's still perfect for a game made in 3 days.

Movement and wall jumping feels great. There is not much to criticize other than the font, which I didn't like. It is minor, but you could change it if you are making another version. Good Job!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words :)

I think its important for me to focus on the mechanics that make my game different, so I'll lean in more into that If I ever make another game like this :)

Thank you for the feedback, It means a lot!

This game is really good! Skipping and returning to levels was an excellent addition.
Level 7 was a little tricky with the wall/double jumping.
But this is a really strong, and well polished, submission :)

Simple game, presented well. Good job!

There are other games in this jam that give you platforms where you die. Your game is different because you have a choice - do I want a platform or do I not want a platform? I think you should have focused more on that from the very start. Make it more strategic. I'm not sure it would be better... but I would like to see it ;)

Developer

Thank you for the feedback :)

I definitely agree, I should have leaned in more into what makes the game different, the levels could have been a lot more interesting that way! Its something I'll keep in mind in the future :)

This game is very well made. The game concept fits perfectly with the jams topic.

It is very difficult to implement a wall jump, on the one hand you have to make sure that the player understands it well and on the other hand the controls have to feel good. But you implemented it perfectly. Great job!

As others have said, jumping feels a bit weird, i  second that.

The art is very simple, but it looks nice.

Altogether, this is a good game, with great mechanics and with simple but good looking visuals.

Thank you so much for the feedback! Seems I forgot to add coyote time to the jump, I'll also look into ways to make jumping more fun and responsive in future games. After all, jumping should be the funnest part of a platformer!

It is also the hardest mechanic to implement. It takes a lot of iterations to make it feel very good.
