Not bad for a simple game. Reminds me of the older Windows 92 games lol
What I liked:
1. Good looking visuals, albeit needing more polish
2. The music is cool
3. Gameplay is simple and straightforward
What I didn't like:
1. You can't go in reverse with your bike :(
2. Adding obstacles on the road would've been cool
Overall, nicely done. I look forward to seeing more work :)
You can't go backwards because it is inspired by the Paper Boy game were you can't go backwards either, and it makes it harder too :)
I appreciate your feedback!
ah I see. A true retro experience :D
The visuals are very cool, the gameplay is simple but fine!
Fun game, and the music is a bop! Like someone else mentioned, I also collided with level geometry at one point and got softlocked, but the game plays really nice as a whole. I also really liked your idea that if you stop moving /slow down for long enough, you fall off the bike lol
I really dig the bike animation. The music had that "have fun" vibe which balances out the urgency of having to collect many bins and bags as fast as you can. I did have to refresh the page after getting locked during a collision with a house fence. It was a shame because it would have been my best run. Overall, its a pretty fun game that encourage replays. Great job!
I LOVE, Re-cycle boy, bc it reminds me of Paperboy. :))) Love you Pixel
That's a really funny game ! It took me an humiliating amount of time to understand that I could go up xD (not your fault, I am just very tired I think) But after that it was a lot of fun !
Thank you, I actually do need a controls page or a controls scene that you can look at in the menu's or something, just hadn't got time for it lol.
Simple yet fun game ^^ I got a score of 50 after some tries, I hope it's not too bad lol
It would've been cool if you managed to make the scoreboard online, good job so far :)
Not bad at all! It got a bit repetitive but was fun enough for a mini game or arcade style experience. Of course it could use more polish regarding hitboxes and timings but we all know how little time we have for these things during a jam! :)
The art style is great, music was alright, but the game definitely would have been improved if you'd added more audio.
Mechanics were tricky to pick up, but fun once I got the hang of it!
This is a really clever idea! I think the concept could be tweaked a bit and make for a great endless runner mobile game. The idea of a newspaper boy type character using a grappling hook to do his job and that this is the garbage collection method the city government has decided upon gives me a good chuckle. Great job!
Solid game. Animations are great and sound is good. Yoinking in bins is pretty satisfying.
I played this and forgot to leave a comment. I had fun trying to catch all the rubbish. I also really like the visual for how the wheels turn faster as you get faster.
A simple mechanic that turns out to be pretty fun. Great job!
Was fun watching you work on this during stream, turned out great!
I love the retro vibe! Simple but fun. Good job
Loved it, reminiscent of the classic Paperboy but with better music
I really dig the retro look you managed to pull off. Fun simple mechanic that is easy to pick up and hard to master.
Thanks, appreciate it, wish I could have completed the game in time tho :(
Fun submission! I like the challenge of the game, especially the way you can't move backwards just forward in varying speeds. Easy to control, but difficult to master.
Nice job!
Thanks, was first thinking that if you stop peddaling after a while you fall off the bike lol.
I wonder if the final scores are persistent...
