The game is great but there is something that caught my attention...
The shots sync perfectly with the beats of the music. It's a super satisfying auditive experience.
Seriously. I feel like playing Crypt of the Necrodancer. I love it.

How much time was taken?
No. In total I ended up going about 10 minutes over.
Use of theme?
Chain Reaction:
- Asteroids can bump into one another and break resulting in chaotic action.
- The player can collect resources to upgrade their ship creating a positive feedback loop where by each successful run they become more powerful.
Negative Feedback Loop:
- As the player is more successful in reaching to goal more and stronger asteroids begin to spawn and increase the difficulty.
- Failing closer to the goal is a more drastic setback then failing far from it.
- The cost of upgrades rises exponentially. This way, The more powerful your ship has become the more difficulty it becomes to gain more power.
Novel Twist on a Classic Game:
- Asteroids are able to hit each other.
- There are a few different types of asteroids
- Upgrades
- A goal to reach
Use of diversifiers?
Art:
- I edited the theme of my game page using game assets.
Design:
- Make a game that uses randomness!
Randomness is at core of Hyper Drone's asteroid spawning system. Asteroids are spawned in random locations within a certain region around the player with random but slightly biased velocities that make them appear on screen more often.
Meta:
- Make a game in a genre you've never made a game in before!
New genre: Multi-directional shooter
- Make a game with a main menu! In a game jam! WOW!!
It's not much but it's there.

really fun, I had truble with controls at first but I eventually got it and played for quite a long time so good job! I really enjoy this!
You have made a complete game within 9 hours, which is an amazing feat in itself, but not only that, you also managed to make it captivating and interesting.
The screen shaking when you shoot is a nice touch, but it is not one that I personally like. The sounds and music fit well together, and I had a blast playing this game. It became more and more difficult the further I went out in space, and I rage quit when I was almost sent back to my space station.
The music is great and I like how smooth everything is, I do have a hard time with these controls though, the left and right functionally working based on the direction you are pointing instead of absolutes was very difficult for me to grasp and often I'd start turning the wrong way and have to correct myself. I wouldn't play this over and over again but it's good fun for a few minutes
Hi!
I spent waaaayyy too much time trying to complete it lol. Almost took me an hour.
With that said, it is still an amazing game. The chain reaction theme is set perfectly as you get hit by an asteroid, which throws you into another, which throws you into another, and by the time you can move, you are about 500m below from where you started. That annoyed me so much....I was at 300, but got shot down to 800.
