Use of diversifiers?
I joined the Discord.

I triple tweeted. TWICE!

I recorded and published a timelapse for every stage, check them out on the game page.

I customized the game page.

The game has just a bit of singing.

The game tries to teach invisibly.

The game can be understood without language.

I've never made a platformer before!

Tremble mortals, and despair, for this game has a main menu... where the background fails to cover the screen if the resolution's over 1024.

I've been playing, rating and commenting on the jam games as much as I can.

Did you have fun?

Definitely

Hi!
It's a pretty nice game. The last level was a pain to complete lol. Idk if it was only me, but the collisions could be improved a bit. I was not even touching the spikes yet it killed me multiple times.
The main menu needs a lot of improvement lol.
Otherwise, it was a fun game.

It's not just you. :)

Thank you for the feedback!

Difficult and challenging :D Enjoyed it very much but I couldn't get past level 9, as much as I tried

The start menu with the sound options is not configured correctly, the image sits the the top left corner and the sound option bars cut across it over the middle of the screen.

This way pretty enjoyable to play, when hitting walls it sometimes became a bit uncontrollable but it was good fun. The music was also good but the jump sound was very obnoxious even after turning it right down, more of a bounce sound would be better I think

Developer

Yeah, I only realized the background got cut 5 minutes too late.

Thank very much for the feedback!

I got stuck on level 11. Having to manage your horizontal momentum is an interesting challenge. Good job on the music as well.

Plays really well, though the hitboxes on the spikes are not very generous.  I guess that plays into the retro feel though, so good job with keeping it simple and fun.  Kinda felt like a bouncing meatboy or something :D

Thanks for the feedback!

Somebody forgot to put UI anchors to properly fit screen =P
But I have zero complains since my SFX can kill someone's ears if they'll be not carefull enough...

Jokes aside - this is nice game with interesting gameplay! Great job!

Developer

The background is actually not supposed to have anchors, it's a parallaxing set of sprites that's used in every scene. The main menu just doesn't have a camera, so it defaults to the top-right being (0, 0) and the sprites are centered with the center at (0, 0).

Thank you for the feedback. :)

Yeah, I talked about start menu. If scene have no camera, it must be defaulted to the viewport, so if you anchor that menu's background to the "full rect" it must do the trick. But I may be wrong. Sorry for bothering you =)

Developer(+1)

What I was saying is that the image is not a UI element with anchors.

It's a 3 different sprite layers that move at different rates to create parallax.

I know how to fix the issue, the only reason its present is because it's not something I noticed before the time limit.

To be clear, I'm not saying you don't know something =)
Sorry for being annoying one =)

Developer

There's nothing to apologize for.

Cool game!

Spikes were brutal and lvl 12 took around 50 tries. Almost feels like one of those games where the dev trolls you and puts pop up spikes everywhere, not in a bad way though.  All it needs is a big spray of blood when you die.

Probably the most last minute menu I've ever seen but hey that's jams.
Music slaps btw.

Developer

Thank you very much for the feedback.

Cool idea. Great graphics. Spikes had a bit too big colliders imo, didn't feel too fair on lvl 12 ;>

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

I agree about the spikes, I realized that on the 11th hour... or in this case the 10th.
