This is such a fun and creative concept - chaotic and hilariously well executed. The pressure from the deadline timer, paired with the increasing speed of the sleep mechanic, adds a great layer of tension. The rating screen at the end is a perfect touch, and the audio minigame in particular feels super polished after the update. The new visual style also adds a lot of charm to the overall experience.
That said, a bit more clarity in some of the tasks would help. For example, during the programming challenge, I didn’t realize I had to close each popup - I ended up just clicking randomly and assumed I was done. Little moments like that could use a nudge in the right direction. But overall, this is a really clever blend of humor, stress, and gameplay, and it captures the game jam spirit perfectly.
This is a really cool idea! Nice implementation too, very unique and hilarious. The way the deadline timer adds pressure and the sleep comes quicker towards the end is perfect.
The rating screen at the end was gold.
I wish I had realized you needed to close each of those popups on the programming challenge. After a couple I just started hitting random buttons until my score said 1 and I assumed I completed the challenge. Found out afterwards that wasn't the case.
Played the game again after the new patch. The visual overhaul is fantastic! I especially think the audio minigame feels the most polished of the three now, with all of the new changes to it! I saved my rating so i could put it in after the new patch, so im gonna do that now!
Fantastic, as always! ^^
You have a ton of great ideas, and the interactivity that puts them into practice is fantastic.
I'm glad you put the 3h version first so that we can see how it will evolve when you update it!
This game was very relatable, what a fun idea.
I thought the light gray was gray at first, but doing the exact opposite of what you're supposed to do and having to start again is also part of the game jam experience. And like Mister Coolest, I also discovered the spam to type method.
There's a nice balance of sound, visual design, and gameplay in this game... you clearly take your own advice!
Thanks for playing and fore the review!
I was thinking of making a game about developing a Trijam game a while ago lol. This reflected on my own time panic on most of the Trijams...
For both the gray/light gray issue and the spam type method, I fixed it in my new upload (which is about 5 hours into development)! I missed a lot of issues in the 3 hour version haha.
Also for the reuploaded version, I focused more on visual & audio(imo these parts were not really balanced in my 3 hour version) and added more effects!
Thanks again!
(Also, I will hopefully play your game by tomorrow. Sorry I couldn’t play it right now since I have to sleep…)
Really fun concept and execution. Great entry!
Thanks for playing! I will try to expand more on the development process haha.
Also I uploaded the finished version (5 hours development total)! It has the full scoring system and more polishing.
Thanks again!

Exactly the trijam experience!!! I love so much about this, especially you quoting yourself at the end lol. Each minigame was pretty unique, although a few things. The "gray" was unclear in the painting minigame, as both of the colors were gray. Also, maybe this is intended but i found the typing minigame was easiest if you just spam all the buttons. I think it'd be cool if they were words, but that might be a lot more work, idk. I love how you can pick how you divvy your time, it feels just like an actual trijam in that way. The falling asleep during was pretty unexpected but I thought it was great.
10/10 reminds me of 5am crunches to upload the game.
Thanks so much for playing and for the detailed review!
For this jam, I tried to make as many minigames as I can while keeping each somewhat unique. In my development times I totally forgot about that both tiles are gray lol.
I uploaded the finished build for this week(5 hour development time total) to my page that has more indications of what the player needs to do! In addition, I added some features I wanted to add for the typing minigame---now it punishes spamming buttons!(I wasn't able to fit the entire mechanic into the first 3 hours I had)
For the suggestion of changing the letters to words, I will try to include a set of words after rebalancing each minigame. I don't want to make the programming section too easy by using familiar words.
Falling asleep accidentally is a BIG setback to me in game jams haha. I have fallen asleep on 2 of my Trijam entries, and 2 times during the GMTK jam this year... Thought it would be good to add it based off this week's theme. I have had too many 3am dev sessions...
Thanks again!

Peak game! The actual trijam experience. Wonderful!
Thanks for playing! This game reflected on my own development stress at 1am every weekend haha(I always procrastinate until the last second).
Also the updated finished build us up! It has a bit more polishing & a scoring system.
Thanks again!
(Also, I will hopefully play your game for Trijam part 1 by tomorrow and leave a review if you want to join back on part 3. Sorry I couldn’t play it right now since I have to sleep…)
Hi, just a heads up: This is not the finished product for this jam. If you have time, I wish you could check back on this project 24 hours later. I should remove the "UNFINISHED" by then. The reason is because I missed the first jam, so I have 6 hours to develop. However, I did not have time today for the entire 6 hours. Therefore, I developed for 3 hours today, and I will develop for 3 hours tomorrow.
