I have entered airport jail. Peak.
In terms of the game, I really loved the narratives---changing between humor, relatable moments, and emotional dialogues---and the overall theme of the story. The frustrating moments represented by the story is so funny and adds a great part to my gameplay!(This is also a reason I don't clap when the plane lands lol). I played it for some times and got three different endings I think--- I will come back for more!
I don't know if I am supposed to do anything, but I got stuck once each on the cloud screen/red screen... sorry if I missed anything haha. However, looking at the clouds itself is really nice as well!
Thank you! But what if the airplane feels bad if you don't clap for it? Didn't it do a good airplane job?
You're the second person to get stuck on the Frustration Hell minigame, I need to add tutorial text that tells you to use the arrow keys to move.
For the clouds, was it when the plane was landing? My dialogue system decided it needs to wait for the landing function to end before it continues, which makes it appear to get stuck for a bit as the plane finishes landing if you go through dialogue quickly. I'll fix that. If it was somewhere else it's a mystery to me and you just have to enjoy cloud time I guess
Amazing update with the artwork! Please make more endings. The cloud scenes were awesome :)
Thanks! There's so much I want to add, I'm planning to continue this one after Trijam.
An excellent update! The new graphics and music adds a lot the the atmosphere the game. The plane flight now feels very restful and I like how a lot of endings have a nice coloring matching them. I also liked the interactive end screen I got once (I wonder if there are more of them, since I'm not sure I tried all the possible paths). It was really nice play this gem again!
Thank you, it sounds like you've thoroughly explored everything that's there so far! "Frustration Hell" is the only minigame ending right now, and it's pretty bare. I don't know why I thought my programmer team member (myself) would have time for more in 3 hours, given all the functions I needed to write for my annoyingly demanding art team member (also myself).
So so so so pretty!! I really liked this one last time. While it was a little bare in the non-written aspects, the narrative and tone were nailed: and the game was super funny to boot :D
I really like the changes you've made with this iteration. The added sections when flying add some complexity to story that is otherwise mostly focused on the jokes and a little less on the implied themes from the one way trip. The clouds and optional pausing in these moments I feel super super add to this. I would honestly just sit with myself for a while chewing on the journey that I was embarking on and stooping into a more contemplative mood. It was incredibly effective at evoking the particular mood pointed to by the dialogue.
That's all to say that I really like your changes :P
Thank you for taking the time to write your thoughts! I put well more than three hours just into that flying section, to make it feel special and unearthly for the jam theme. I wasn't quite sure what would come out of my hands, at my keyboard or tablet or piano, until the clock was running. But this was one of those occasions where everything just came together, thanks to the magic of trijam :)
This was so cool!! As a returning player I'd love to see some new dialogue, but the biggest thing i noticed was the beautiful art in the background. My favorite part was the clouds in the sky, I really enjoyed watching them go by. Like, a lot. Anyways, I love the narrative you tell here, how it fades between sad, emotional, then humor. It's a perfect twist to keep it light while still putting some depth in there. Super pumped to see what happens next!!
Haha, we were playing each other's games at literally the same time XD
The clouds are my favorite part too. I spent so long getting them working and looking just right that I gave up on the 3h time limit completely, for this week. But I needed reality to change as we go!
Thank you for your lovely comment :)
