Challenging game. I included it in my Touhou Jam 5 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

I played the audio from the folder, I like it!

The bullet pattern was solid and fun.

Graphically it could be better to have made the hitbox brighter.
The part that kicks it up a notch is the use of changing aspect ratio. Really made me go OWO! We should talk about dev things. I really like what you did.

Yeah, we have never actually put music into any of our gamejam games before, always put it at the lowest priority and never had time, this time we had a sound guy though, but couldn't figure it out before the deadline.

Glad you liked the aspect ratio, it was one of the main ideas we had for how to not make a generic danmaku game.

If ya wanna talk to either me or aeon(other programmer) you can find us in the touhou jam discord under our same names.

The game lacked audio but I found it in the folder and put it on as I played so consider your rating in the audio category saved

Otherwise it's pretty solid, all around, appreciated the audio feedback, even if it's minimal, bullet patterns and gameplay were pretty inventive, hats off to that!

much appreciated, glad music worked out. this was my first time seriously trying to make touhou-like danmaku so that was what took a large portion of the jamming time. thanks for playin'

Brilliant ideas and sure looks nice, but a lot of the danmaku was just so small and fast and abundant that I couldn't track it.

Developer

hello hello i am slow to get to replies but thanks for playin'. we were hoping to get to putting in multiple difficulties and getting rid of some of the rng but time was tight. future patch? who knows

as someone who isn't great at danmaku, the fact that we're not limited by lives is greatly appreciated.

also, Gay Rain Deluxe will now be the name of my hypothetical future band

A great danmaku stage with decent patterns that resembles MoF. I didn't really get Onbashira Rushing towards Fantasy though. Overall it's fair and challenging with clear graphics with no clutters.

Also I like how you brought up suwa war for the theme. It's often a part of the story that gets ignored in MoF.

Needed to run as admin for the .exe to run.
Pressing [Setting] just puts me into the game anyways.
Like the dynamic battlefield size.

Dynamic dialogue boxes that pops around to give a sense of where people are talking in space is nice and all, but needing to shift my eyes a large amount vertically per box tires the eyes a wee bit more.

huh, no idea why you needed to run as admin. Pressing "setting" was actually supposed to quit the game since we didn't have time to set up the settings.

This is now canon, this is how the great suwa war happened.

Good danmaku fights and fun dialogue, just wish there was music! Also I wanted to go into the settings but Kanako didn't care lol

PS: "this kind of looks like the flag" *notices spell card name* lmao

Yeah the music we unfortunately couldn't get to work before the deadline

Settings was supposed to quit the game but I guess I messed that up oops
