i started early
I re-used a few sprites from scrapped projects, you might've seen those before. Plus I reused generic code, which I ported to Godot 4 during the jam. But the description says that doesn't count, so!

Except for that and CC assets (check the credits!) all content was created in February.

Quite an impressive amount to this. The narrative was fun to follow and explore and the worldbuilding was really neat. I enjoyed trying out new actions and seeing how much potentially more there is to explore. The writing was quite fun and descriptive and the aesthetics were very nice. ~

-This has been pretty awesome to play and it looks great. I love the sense of humor and style and when the change happened and I saw all the context and text for the perks changed it made me pause and smile. Very well done.  And then changing the look and interact to be paladin themed was a fun way to keep it fresh. I would have loved to see a little more horny, and some branching paths, but it was really well excecated. Honestly a great time

This is, hands down, by far, my favorite interactive fiction game of the jam. (By “interactive fiction” I am combining all visual novels, hypertext adventures, point-and-click adventures, and walking simulators (both first-person and top-down) into one meta-genre.) Excellent work, it gets so many different things right; I loved this!

Rating this in the morning since I stayed up too late playing it because I couldn't put it down! The scope was really impressive but even more impressive was that it felt like it had a solid arc, I never would've guessed that it was made so quickly. It even had a denouement! The writing was excellent, the art was a perfect fit and I loved the skill tree. Simple but well balanced and made me want to replay to try different choices. It felt great to go back with new skills or information and interact with things for new results, and the way this was integrated with the wolf transformation was just perfect. The multiple levels of enjoying the dancers really made me laugh. Also now I have a giant crush on Cursetina, so thanks for that.

Quite a long and involved adventure for a jam game.  Great writing, characters, and theme.  I especially love how the skill descriptions change when you become a wolf.  Wish I could spend more time in this world.

I liked this one quite a bit. There was a lot of content packed into this experience, and the judicious use of pre-existing assets was an efficient way to create original content on a time budget. It reminds me of those classic 2000s indie adventure games, although there is definitely a modern influence with the perk-based skill tree. I thought the presentation was excellent and the use of transformation was pleasurable and justified in-universe.

In terms of plot, it felt less like I was solving a mystery more so that I was experiencing a linear story. There aren’t many puzzles in the game, and much of the progression is based around talking to new NPCs or going into new areas on the map. In that way, it’s a visual novel with some light interactive elements, rather than the traditional puzzle-solving adventure genre. The main difference, per playthrough is in dialogue choices based on your skill tree, but as far as I can tell they don’t have a major impact on the story, and exist for flavour.

I also think that the climax of the story was weak, where the culmination of your efforts was discovering that the mystery was effectively an exercise in interspecies trolling, where the cultists don’t pose any significant threat, and everything was wrapped up neatly in the final scene without any tension or drama. The character personalities are also distinct, though the large number of characters combined with the story’s fast pace means that you don’t get as much time to spend with them to let them shine through.

Overall, it’s a good game and story that put in a lot of effort in the time allotted, with sensible worldbuilding and a competent story, though it isn’t as interactive or as erotic as I would have liked.

Thank you for the detailed feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the presentation. It's true that the game is more VN than point-and-click adventure, and that the adventure elements mostly exist to add texture.

There's a simple reason for the lack of puzzles: I ran out of time. That's also why the story resolves a little too easily in the end, and why there just isn't enough space to really build the cultists up as a threat. I wanted there to be more cursed items around town, which would've helped with those two issues, but, well, game jams. If I end up going back to this, that'll be an area I'll work on.

Made me feel like I had actual choices and made me proud that I picked the perks I did, also made me feel like i was a real werewolf detective. Although I felt like I didn't have meany chances to get bad endings on the path i chose, but to each their own.

Great game structure, I really like how skills offer different paths through the story! I wish there were more bonus scenes, routes or other goodies associated with the skills to really give players a big reason to try different playthroughs. With a project this impressively vast that's not possible in the given time frame, which I think you've mentioned in the post-game screen, but maybe this game can be worth expanding a bit beyond the jam.

Awesome work with the interface, menus and all sorts of details associated with them. Everything feels very proficiently put together. The one thing I can suggest is color-coding or otherwise separating the tags according to what they are in the dialogue choice boxes. I was confusing skill and ability names with information tags, and they sort of have different roles and meanings. The narrative was fun as always and I like how your skills define your character. I enjoyed exploring the environments and interacting with everyone, and I appreciated the final scene where you can say goodbye to everyone.

I like the departure from your regular setting choice, and it was fun to see how your preferences translate into a fantasy world. A human is going through a hypnotic transformation and gaining new powers, and there's plenty of lizard people around, but it's all contextualized and presented in a whole new way!

Thank you! I didn't want to do sci-fi for a fourth year in a row, haha. The colour-coding is definitely a good idea, I'll keep that in mind for the future. This is a project I might want to flesh out a little more given time, because this did not end up achieving the planned scope.

Very cool project! Not much into point and clicks or detective type games myself, but I can tell a lot of work went into it, and it paid off really well.

Art is great, music fits in well, there's a complete story too! One of the few games that feel like they are more of a full experience rather than a proof of concept in the jam, it's awesome that such a thing was managed in a single month.

The game's start and end shows the maker's opinions on AI in a sort of hamfisted manner, there's nothing in there that I disagree with myself, but it's worth thinking about your potential audience's thoughts about that, less because anything diagreeable there but more so because they may not want to think about that stuff while enjoying a well made and engaging project like this.

All in all, great game! It's built solid and it's awesome that so much content was put into it in such a short time, definitely one of the more complete and stable releases in the jam.

I agree that the disclaimers probably ended up being a little too much, I was in sort of a bad mood when I wrote these, haha. I'll look into rephrasing that with the post-jam update. The one in the credits is probably plenty (and it could be a little less harsh.)

Very nice story and atmosphere! There were a few rough edges (mainly two songs playing at once, and some narration dialogue that could’ve been more distinct from regular dialogue), but given the scope and that you made all of this in a month, it barely detracts from the experience! It’s impressive how much content you managed to pack into this game, and I had a great time with this!

Oh, this game is GREAT. I like the story, and personally the TF elements are very horny as you implemented them. The game mechanics are great and tie into everything. I love it! 10/10, would become a good boy again.

Ok, so...First of all, excellent little game, It functions. That's the first big thing. It's a point and click detective game, nothing too complicated but **It Works** that's an achievement

Second: Great DnD nerd terminology. Dispel Magic, Escape Dungeon, etc...love it. I'm a huge fan of that.

Third: I really think that if you toned down some of the imagry, like focusing on chests, private parts and strippers...You could flesh this out (pardon the pun) and turn this into something worth putting on Steam. Detective games are always a great little thing, DnD focus will attract a lot more people.

Fourth: why....um this is a strange question, but why are you against AI? theres a lot of focus on that, but doesn't AI, whether it's art or other forms of learning programs, wouldn't that kind of be your 'thing' with all the Drone stuff?... Strange question I know, and I apologize if it's tied to some deeper ideology, but I just thought it was too weird not to bring up.

Overall Grade: 5/5 -- Keep going in this trajectory of writing up a compelling world. I want to KNOW more about the guilds, about the world building. That's a sign you've got my attention and interest regarding story~
