Simple and fun game.
Very good! Nothing wrong with it as far as I can tell, it's all here for a simple dungeon crawler made in 72 hours! I liked having all the upgrades and parts available and trying to make the most optimal build. Good job!
Generally pretty good! Decent bit of items, and a dungeon crawler version of this with more content would be amazing. Having the enemies move would be cool, but it works good enough as-is lol
Great little classic rpg style game! Only thing I'd change is adding a couple new items or tweaking some item stats to reduce redundancy. Also neat little easter egg after beating the game!

Awesome game!
Very fun game
I really enjoyed this entry! Short, sweet, and not frustrating. Great work :D
Thank you for playing Captain Coder, it means a lot. I look forward to trying out YASU.
Speedran it down to 53.24 seconds. I challenge anyone to try to beat my time.
I get that it was 72 hours, but I still think that you should introduce mechanics gradually. Not even throughout different levels, just one is fine. Maybe if you choose to battle the first rat, it explains a little bit about the atk and def mechanics. Felt more of a puzzle game than an rpg though, which I think is fun. Good job.
That's a good time! I'm curious to see what route you took.
Your feedback about gradually introducing mechanics is great.
I agree that this is more like a puzzle game disguised as an adventure game. That's what I was going for. I like games that are deterministic. The idea was to make several levels like this where you get to figure out how to make it to the end, but there are many different ways to do it. I only had 1 full day to work on the game, though.
Thank you for taking the time to really explore my game and provide thoughtful feedback. It means a lot to me. I look forward to playing your game as well and hope to repay the favor in kind.
My route was:
Chest over rat -> Viking (with the iron helm) -> Free chest over ogre, and equip the shield -> Kill the crab (but not take the heart yet) -> Do hits on the paladin until 1hp -> Grab the heart from the crab -> Kill the paladin with 19 def
Edit: got a 44 when recreating this run ;)
Niiiiice!!
I love this kind of artstyle!
Reminds me of old roguelike games :D very well done for 3 days and i would do the same type for inventory easier to develop then make drag and drop :D
Thank you! I never made a roguelike before, so this gave me a good excuse to get some experience in that genre.
It had a nice roguelike feel i have to say.
