Great little arena game! The VFX was a bit distracting, but not to the point where it obscured enemies/bullets. I couldn't tell if the forcefield upgrade had any effect, or if I had to press a button to use it though. Good work over all!
forcefield is only really effective on the slower bullets unless you buy it multiple times (mostly because the original version would deflect everything and you would be basically immortal). And yeah i know about the vfx lol that's like the main complaint (it's not that bad!!). Anyway, glad u liked the game lol <3
Game was fun, but kinda hard. I always love your music. Agreed with some other comments, the VFX was at like, 300% higher than my eyes could handle. Fun entry overall.
just get better eyes lol. glad u enjoyed the game despite the difficulty (which was only partially intended)! :3
I liked it a lot. It is very polished
Thanks! I'm glad u liked it! <3
I liked it a lot!
glad you liked it! :3
Great job, very juicy
u and capitan coder and ur joice lol, glad you thought it was good <3
A beautiful game with excellent replayability. My only complaint is that the upgrade screen felt like it was very cramped. I would have liked slightly bigger text on that screen.
Great work!
yeah that's understandable, some other guy had that same problem lol. Glad u enjoyed the game tho :3
This game is really good, and fits the theme perfectly. I really think it gets so much harder in the late stages, than it is easy in the early stages. So this game could use some balancing (I get the deadline, I also had this issue). I would also move the [Leave] key a little bit more away from the [Purchase] key, because the first few rounds I left without buying anything. I also noticed that the "things" has a solid hitbox, and would make me lose my momentum when collecting them. If you're using OnCollisionEnter2D, I highly recommend switching to OnTriggerEnter2D and making their colliders triggers. I also would like to know how you got that vhs effect :)
Tried to upload image, but it didn't work. Final stats
22 303 Points
16 Rounds Survived
18 Things Made
lol the VHS effect is the one on the asset store by "NullTale". I didnt think that many people would click F instead of E, but the F was just a placeholder key that i kept as the real key (probably should've made it like ESC or smtn). 16 rounds survived is pretty good lol. I'm glad you liked the game <3
this is really good. as some of the others mentioned, the bloom was probably a bit too intense, but the movement and mechanics felt super smooth and satisfying! very well executed small idea! honestly would play a longer version of this.
Yeah i never really get distracted by vfx unless they're like super insanely blinding, so a lot of the time if i make a game without supervision i put too much bloom or whatever. I'm glad u liked the movement and such! <3
Cool game, cool effects, I like it 🙃
I'm glad u liked it! <3
I like the glitchy effect in general, but I think it was perhaps somewhat too pronounced to the point where it started getting distracting and hard to focus. Gameplay was fun, but really hard, hehe, so I think shooting speed was too slow initially. The shop area should've been larger to make it easier to see and differentiate the upgrades. Really good work!
Yeah I think I over-did it with the vhs effect, and shop was probably still too small. Otherwise, I'm glad u thought the gameplay was good! It was meant to be difficult, especially at the beginning, but I didn't have enough time to thoroughly balance it lol :3
I like the style with all the shapes, but the visual effects were pretty exhausting to me.
Yeah, maybe I should've turned down the effects, but I'm glad you liked the rest of the style <3
