Optimized for maximum discomfort

That was my thought process exactly thank you for the profound words

Oof sorry, thanks for letting me know!
It is likely that your graphics driver isn't updated. My friend had problems with the game but after updating their drivers then it worked. Maybe check if your drivers needs an update too. This should also improve your laptop's performance in general anyways so you probably should! Let me know if that works!

(1 edit)

Thanks for letting me know! I missed it sadly but I was able to watch the VOD!

Also made a wheelchair game lol. I liked the atmosphere of your game and got creeped out when I heard footsteps behind me at one time. I will say though that I didn't like the controls though. Maybe it is because I got used to my own controls but I felt that having 3 buttons on the mouse that had to be used in unison made me have to hold it in an awkward way that made it very difficult to navigate.

Had to play the other wheelchair game submissions. My original idea for my game was more similar to this and I think what you have it pretty cool. I also jumped when one of the ghost creatures flew at me lol. Main feedback I would give is that the movement overall should be faster including turning, moving, and crawling (but maybe that's just because I am so used to zooming around for my game lol). It made me actively not want to collect ammo and instead opt to just try and dodge the enemies. Still, for your first game in Godot, especially in 3D, it was very good!

Well said

Thank you so much, means a lot coming from you!!!!! Couldn’t have done it without your asset pack!!

Thank you so much for leaving a comment! Glad you liked it!!!

Hahaha love to hear it!

Thank you for playing! Sorry about your finger though lol.

Yeah lol, there were a few other wheelchair games and I'm planning to play them all. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the game!

Thank you so much! I may have outdone myself with the title. I hope you enjoy the game!

This game was really fun and well polished! I did manage to break  the loop but it got kind of close. I also enjoy the different possible strategies that could be used. I could see people placing a bunch of houses together or maybe getting a lot of those building that triggered when another building was placed which is really cool! The only possible feedback I could give is to like make a bunch of other unique and different buildings for some crazy strategies, but it was a 4-day gamejam and already had some cool strategies. Still though, you did a great job with this!

Thank you for playing! This game was actually inspired by the Roblox game "Word Bomb" and the original JKLM Bomb Party word game. Those games were more about competing against your friends to find words, but I wanted to see what a singleplayer version would be like with a few extra additions. Glad to see that you enjoyed it!

Thank you for replying! I definetely want to try this out as well eventually! Again, the game looks awesome for a 4-day game jam, I couldn't help but play it after seeing the screenshots. Well done!

Love the feedback. Thank you for the playing!

First off, the visuals are INCREDIBLE. The whole time I was wondering, "How did they manage this in 4 days". It is fun just flying around, the music just melts into your brain too while you glide, and its just overall really relaxing.

It did take me a bit to figure out what my objective was (and that there were enemies). I think the visuals are fantastic, but the gameplay could be improved upon. It is difficult to see the enemies, and I felt as if I was swinging around then accidentally running into them which felt really punishing (but maybe I am blind and I should just dodge them). This game like feels easy but like that is because it doesn't feel as if the enemies really have much presence.

The main thing I think should be added would be to give the player an objective they can word towards rather than just survival. I also think that there should be unique threats alonside the drones that chase you.

Still though, amazing visuals and cool style, especially for a 4-day gamejam. I'd also love to know how you achieved the style.

I got to round 5 with a score of 255. My strategy was in each loop, I would just going clockwise around the room.

I think that the idea of this game is very interesting and from the moment i read the instructions I was intruiged on how it would play out.

I am not super fond of the gameplay though. It feels really punishing that my ghost can run into my normal body and kill me, I fell as only when my main body collides with them should I die (but I feel like that may visually be hard to convey and such). I also think that that there should be some other element here to want to work towards. Maybe not a whole bossfight but different levels with unique room shapes or modifiers. Also one final nitpick is that I don't love the pixelation screen effect. I think that the game would look better without it (normal like the thumbnail, but thats just my opinion).

Still though, this was very creative and I could see potential for something really interesting. The main thing I would want added is like a way to "win" to have something to work towards (upgrades/progression). Also I think adding some more to the visuals would do wonders, like some dynamic lighting, fog, particles, etc.

Nonetheless, Great Job!

Yeah I will agree that the theme doesn't fit very well and originally the idea was to make a word loop/train. However, I found a word loop to be less fun so I shifted the idea to this because I wanted to priotitze fun even if that meant having to shift futher from the theme.

Thank you a lot for playing and leaving a comment!

This game was very fun! Love games where you choose your own upgrades and choose what to upgrade, makes my runs feel personal and more strategic. I did find myself barely ever getting -%distractions as I never really got hit by them so I feel the upgrades could have some balancing. I did lose at the end of week 2 though (addition is really stressful okay ;-;) but for what I played it was fun. I could see this being very cool with more upgrades and like different behaviors of some distractions to add more to the unpredictability but for it being made in 9 days and your first game jam game, you did a great job!

Thank you so much for playing! I appreciate that you enjoyed the game and got to get both endings. Shovel didn't have the chance to play unfortunately but at the very least someone else got to play the game to its entirety and enjoy it (some people don't enjoy puzzle games like this, the reading dissuades a lot of people too). If you have any more specific feedback is also much appreciated (favorite or least favorite puzzle, hardest puzzle, if the endings were satisfying, ideas for another bomb etc).

And again, thank you for completing the game and leaving such a wonderful comment! Comments like this are what keep me motivated to keep making games!

Thank you for playing! It is a shame my game is not likely to be played as there are so many submissions and my game needs to be downloaded. At least I learned a few things and to not make any executables in future jams.

Thank you for playing!

The tutorial was a thing i kind of added later so it's not the best, and I didn't try to hard on the main menu (It's just godot's default button style lol). If you do come back to play, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the endings!

Thank you so much for playing! If you do manage to beat it let me know what you think of the endings, I spent a little too long on them instead of a better tutorial. I did intentionally try to make the game kind of throw you in there but might have made it too difficult. I was thinking of allowing the player to pick up the papers but felt that it may take the player out of the immersion (and I was running out of time lol). I appreciate the feedback though. Adding a way to like manage the papers would be interesting!

Also just the audio of the wind in the background and sound effects was really satisfying. I like how you didn't add a very like obnoxious music to ruin the atmosphere.

The visuals are incredible for a game jam and there is so much polish. I would say that I think the game is a little difficult and on the punishing side but I may just be bad lol. I also think that the ice golem people are a bit awkward to fight as sometimes I will get really big then they get scare and when I go and start rolling over to them they either shoot an ice attack and just kill me or like I think for some reason I get smaller (even though I am moving) then they kill me when I them. Overall I felt that the level and enemy design was somewhat awkward/cramped. I still enjoyed the game and the story/message of it was nice, this is just like general feedback to improve upon what is already a good game!

Thank you for playing! I do somewhat regret making my game so difficult/complicated as many people may not have the time to comprehend it all in a short time considering all the submissions. Appreciate the feedback!

Hello! As of right now I can not use my computer to try to fix anything, and im so not sure why it wouldn’t work. Some of my friends have downloaded this current version and it played fine for them, so it could be a hardware issue. Bummer that you couldn’t play it, but thanks for trying!

These songs are so good!!!

This is a very interesting tileset! What was your initial game idea for them?

Cool little game! I'd say just some sound and different parts rather than just the arms to upgrade would make a big difference, but good work either way! Also, dual punching gloves all the way!

Thank you for playing! Yeah the screen was meant to fade then the game closes but since it was a browser game it wasn’t able to close. This was my first time making it html so I didn’t know this was a thing. But anyways I’m glad you enjoyed it so much and took the time to beat it!

I’d love to see it!

I love games like this that give you freedom to beat the level however you want

I love the sound effects and feel that it really carries the atmosphere and reminded me a lot of that one specific machine SCP which is probably why I enjoyed this so much. As you said in another comment, the extreme gear did seem to be bugged as I wasn't really making a profit from it. I also think that there should be more interactive things to do, and possibly even add some story of what the machine could be (it seems really mysterious and intrigues me! I could see some potential twists). The sensitivity values for the camera a UI did seem weird to me though, but that could potentially be my mouse. Still though, I adore this idea and might even possibly make my own little game based off this (if that's fine with you of course). Good job!

Thanks and glad you enjoyed! I wanted the tanks to feel unique and wanted to add some more cool ones but started running out of time sadly.

This game is criminally underated. The visuals are great, the concept is great, and it actually had me a little anxious for a bit (i dont know if that was your intention but this game seems to have a horror aspect). I did have some issues though, mainly the fact I was getting stuck on invisible walls (I think) and the lack of audio. The camera turn also seemed very touchy and the walls sometimes blocked half of my screen but it wasn't too bad. Still though, I think that this game is really well made and deserves more ratings. Good job!!

I love online card games and I think this really has a lot of potential. Making the combat more complex with different enemy types and new cards alongside some sounds and visuals would be neat, but I like what you have!
