This is fun, but it's super hard to gauge your depth, but I guess thats part of the challenge!
Oh man, I can see people getting addicted to this game... my high score was 49 before I decided to call it quits! It has challenging controls, but that's not necessarily a bad thing as I still felt relatively in control throughout the game. I didn't know if I was supposed to be allowed to wall jump, as it felt a bit exploitative, but it was fun nonetheless!
Are these tracks procedurally generated, or random selected from a bunch that you made? Because either way, it's pretty awesome and a job well done for 3 days of work! 😁
Thanks for playing and giving feedback. 49 is quite good score. My high score is around 80 as of now.
The wall jump is intentional so that you can jump by getting support from the walls (you have to be touching either the walls or the top of the blocks to jump").
To generate these platforms, I made some cubes of different sizes and then spawned/instantiated them procedurally.
Okay, I figured the wall jump was intentional. I think it was just a bit more floaty than I was expecting, so it felt like it was an exploit more than a feature at times.
God, that's so freaking cool... I love that you got procedurally generated courses working so well in such a short period of time. 🤩
Solid take on the theme and interesting to play, just a little difficult haha
Simple idea but good realisation. The texture on cubes sometimes looks glitchy but the game is good!
Did you use voxel to create the path? Just curious! Nice work btw, i think you should add a timer to spice things up a little bit!
Thanks for playing the game.
My high score in my game is 28 as of now, so your score is not bad :)
I tried implementing the rotation of camera but couldn't finish within the submission deadline, you can still rotate camera using Q and E keys but keep in mind that control direction do not match up after rotating the camera because this feature is not complete yet.
The platforming feels a bit off since you can't clear most gaps without doing a weird wall jump. It's also really hard to see if you are about to fall off in the z-axis because of the camera angle. It's cool that the levels are procedurally generated though!
Thanks for playing and giving feedback.
I intentionally allowed the wall jump so that we can jump with support from the wall, it needs more polishing though.
As for the camera angle, I tried implementing the camera rotation using Q and E keys but this is not complete yet. After completing this, I think the issue you mentioned will be resolved.
