Aesthetics are verry well, i like it !

Very fast paced and fun game

I think the Meat Lord is too fast at the start. Also the player moves sidewards too slowly

Really cool art style, nice game play and sound. 5/5

Amazing visuals, great gameplay and awesome level generation. Loved it. 5/5

I love the visuals of this game, especially the rising monster.

I feel like you should start with at least one bone so you have something to work with if you get an unlucky enemy spawn.

Great fun though, had me coming back for more!

The urge to quickly go up when you see that monster below you is just too much xD also pretty hard until you get the hang of it

Platform and walls a little hard to distinct.

A little to much shaking and the camera make me a little nauseating

The game is very fun and I like the bones mechanic and the artstyle.

I really loved the game but I think some of the platforms blend in with the background a bit much. So I kept trying to jump up thinking I could when really it was just a block above me that looked like it was part of the background. Also I feel if you added wall jumps it would give the player more options to traverse through the game. Other than that I really think the game has potential!

All valid criticisms and things that we'll be sure to take into account in the future. Thanks for playing!

Great art and music. I found the game quite hard from the start. Maybe it would good to modify the difficulty curve. But I think it has some potential. Good job!

Developer

Yeah we were originally planning on making the levels harder and harder the higher you went up, but we didn't have enough time to make that many levels. Right now the only difficulty curve is the big guy speeding up a lil which I agree isn't really noticeable.

The game has a very polished look to it! I found it a bit hard: sometimes it wasn't super clear where platforms were because the contrast is a bit low. I really like the art style.

Extremely impressive considering this is a game jam entry made in only a few days. This is probably the best entry I've played so far and I'd be surprised if any future entries I play manage to beat it.

Aesthetics are easily 5 stars, sound design is nice, the procedural generation feels natural and everything meshes together really well. I'm having hard time trying to find a genuine criticism. I guess there could be more enemy and obstacle variety as well as more interesting procedural generation? It can also feel like you're screwed if there's a flying enemy right at the start and no bones for you to pick up to get past it. The camera also feels a bit snappy and jerky.

Apart from those nitpicks, this may well be the best game of the jam. Everything looks nice and I love the Wall of Flesh or rather "Floor of Flesh". Really good job! :)

I would've really liked to add more content but unfortunately we ran out of time. Definitely agree that smoother camera would've been nice too. Thanks for the detailed review!

the game artwork is really good and sound fitted perfectly. good job!

Very nice! Game has everything. Banging tune, really good pixel art (player's amazing for 5x7!), fun gameplay. Aesthetics were an easy 5*. An improvement would be to decrease the difficulty at the start. It's well balanced but people need a few more jumps to get into it or they'll be too frustrated to give it a proper go.

Developer(+1)

Yeah we were originally planning on having the level difficulty getting harder, but we ran out of time so we just opted for same difficulty. Sometimes you can get unlucky with bat spawns, and if you have no bones they're basically impossible xD

awesome, i love the aesthetic.

Awesome game, great use of the art asset pack, and I loved the meatlord (very wall of flesh vibes). It was fun and I thought the music was wonderful.

I love this one! The game play is great, the procedural generation (or multiple levels?) keeps it fresh - the art style is great, the music fits the game - I honestly have nothing I can really offer as criticism. It was super addictive and I was playing this one for quite a while. Good work!

Thank you so much!
