Haha thanks for sticking it out. When i was playtesting during development i was honestly worried the boss was still too easy, but now thats its been a while its definitely a bit too hard X)

Still possible though! It’s a lot easier if you can prioritize getting a lot of rate of fire and double shot upgrades.

Cool idea with potential. A bit glitchy as the rotating turret sprite doesn't really match up with the shot direction, and I died with some hp remaining (timer hadn't run out either), but overall not a bad demo. An advice I'd give is to make the turret shots move slower as they're a little hard to dodge (and see).

Really challenging! I managed to win with just a bit of my last cigarette left, it was very engaging. Loved the graphics, and the minigame at the end was a nice touch too. Just a suggestion, I would add some sort of invincibility after you get hit, as I often found myself dying immediately from getting hit twice

Lack of a tutorial or any explanation on how to play meant it took me a long time to figure out what was going on. I really like the gameplay though (Kinda like if Dicey Dungeons was a grid-based game). Also really liked that you guys added classes and unique weapons. UI definitely needs work though. Couldn't tell if the UI was just that confusing or if the game was just bugging, even after I thought I had figured it out.

Recommend you guys add some kind of description to explain how to play.

Yeah we were originally planning on making the levels harder and harder the higher you went up, but we didn't have enough time to make that many levels. Right now the only difficulty curve is the big guy speeding up a lil which I agree isn't really noticeable.

I would've really liked to add more content but unfortunately we ran out of time. Definitely agree that smoother camera would've been nice too. Thanks for the detailed review!

Yeah we were originally planning on having the level difficulty getting harder, but we ran out of time so we just opted for same difficulty. Sometimes you can get unlucky with bat spawns, and if you have no bones they're basically impossible xD

Unique idea and graphics are nice. A lot of fun once I figured it out. That being said, there probably should be some more instructions since the controls are so different from anything I've seen.

Really chill game, I liked the mood you were going for. Super satisfying to sling the light around at top speeds

Fun game that tests your speed. 

Love the graphics and retro look. Love all the small details like the clouds floating by and the animated text. Great job!

Pretty cool game. Swinging mechanic is really fun to play around with. I think the game could benefit from a sound effect whenever you touch a circle

Pretty good  but I have a few ideas for improvement. The camera is positioned a little weirdly, it should probably be positioned above the player so that you can see what's ahead of you better. There should also be a better indication of when you get hit, like an screen shake or a flash or something

Fun game, although it did take me a while to figure it out at first. Really love the graphics. I think it could be better if the screen was bigger or if the packages fell slower so that you could have more time to react  

Gameplay was pretty fun. It's really satisfying to land hooks. There could be more variety though

I think some sounds or animation that plays when you shoot a helicopter (but not destroy it) would add a lot of the feel of the game. 

Love the idea! The retro look and slowmos add a lot. I really like the news bar at the bottom.

The graphics are great, and the control scheme was pretty fun. Soundtrack is so bomb

Love the artstyle you've chosen! Reminds me a lot of Downwell. Sometimes the physics feels a little off with the wall jump. Other than that, really great game

I don't think the coins spawn often enough. It would be better if if making it up a floor gave you points and coins gave you bonus points

Looks really good and polished! It did take me a while to figure out how the controls worked though, I think that could be improved.

Art style is cool and unique. A bit messy visually (that might be part of the art style?) and I wish the slashing part had more gameplay involved

Really like the retro aesthetics and it's a cool twist on Snakes on Ladders. I think it's a bit too hard though, especially since the snakes' movements are so unpredictable
