The game perfectly respects the theme, with just enough twist to make it interesting. As other people said, physics are a little bit strange, but it's a game jam after all ! Great game, keep up the good work !

I can't believe in my first ever jam... that a game was named after myself 😲. Thank you nuticles, it was an honor

(This is Chief from discord btw lol)

Very solid game! Could use little tweaks, but otherwise very very nice!

This is a really cool take on the soccer theme is a bit buggy at times but very solid!

I love the idea but I wish things moved better, like the player seems to have fixed positions to move to, and the flippers sometimes send the ball backwards even if the ball is in front of it. Other than that I found it a really fun idea!

Thanks for the feedback! I've noticed the issue with the flippers and  I think its something to do with the collision detection. Ill definitely look more into it I'm fairly new to development so it'll mostly be trial and error LOL. As for the player it should be able to freely move between its min and max Z value. I believe the issue could be because i made it move too fast, but i am unsure.

Love the usage of the theme, controls a bit clunky though. Otherwise very solid!

Developer

Hey thanks i appreciate the comment. I'm still fairly new to development so i expected it to be somewhat jank lol. I'll definitely look into ways of making the game feel smoother though thanks!

Thanks, as a child I used to play this old baseball pinball type game when i would go to the local barber shop .I swear I remember playing a soccer type of those machines in a laundromat or something. That was my inspiration basically.

I like the concept, it's a lot more difficult than I thought it would be haha. Things get pretty hectic especially when there's more than one ball on the screen. One minor note is that sometimes when the balls roll down the sides, it feels a bit too tough to get them back above the flippers. But pretty solid overall, nice work!

Thanks alot for the feedback i appreciate it. I noticed that issue with the balls under the flippers too. It is unfortunately very common lol, the only solution i could come up with in the time was adding the wing-back players to the left and right of the flippers to get the ball out if it reached them. Then the issue became getting the ball to reach them lol. I'll definitely try to think up some better solutions though thanks.

Fun game! the idea of a pinball style soccer game is really interesting and it feels fun to grind for the highscore.

Developer

Thanks I appreciate the comment, and I am glad you enjoyed my game.

Definitely has potential. Balls are moving veeeerrryyyy slove.

Developer

Thanks for the comment. The way i made the balls move was just tilting the entire board 30 degrees so its just gravity pulling the balls down haha. I could probably make the angle steeper to get them to move quicker or maybe increase their mass in the rigidbody component. I have noticed the slow balls being a common issue so I will for sure look into ways to speed 'em up.

Nice pinball game! I think a timer with ramping gameplay would add a lot but I had a good time!

Developer

Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed playing my game. I tried to simulate some ramping gameplay using the power-ups but i see how that can be not enough at times. I currently don't have any ideas for a solution but i will absolutely look into it. Maybe i can add more defenders to the other side of the field.
