Had fun with the game eventually became impossible to lose. Took out the referees eyes and became a speedster flying through the field.I think scaling the amount of points needed to get an upgrade could help make the game a slight bit more difficult. After like around 5x multiplier i was getting upgrades after every kill, which was fun but made it impossible to lose after blinding the ref. I need to see fifa hold a cup where the ref is blind after this. Good job on the game!
I love how all the cards can be used both defensively and offensively. My favorite is probably the stickbug. The only issue i found is sometimes some of the cards, the ant especially, will switch directions randomly and score in my own goal. IDK if this is a bug(hhaahahahha) or just a skill issue on my end though.
Thanks for the play. I think the music playing in the gameplay section is a good idea. It took me forever to find a free song that fit well and then i got scared that music on top of the cheers from the crowd wouldve been to overwhelming ( I am terrible with sound design), but thinking about it now it would probably be good. Thanks for the suggestion!
The game was fun. The only issue i have is the slow down powerup felt like more of a hindrance than a helpful powerup. It might be a skill issue on my end though lol.I can see it being used to time the kick better but alot of the times I wasnt near the ball's landing location (Skill issue i know). Its hard to tell when the ball is getting near the player while also trying to be under it at the same time. The shadow and height number help with that, I think the height helps the most because with the shadow it is a little bit harder to tell. This might be too much but i think having the height indicator follow the ball would help a little. Having it centered in the view would be easier than having to look up at the height and missing the ball. Anyways, I really had fun playing the game i love the visual style, and the sound effects and music were satisfying. Good job !
I love this game. The difficulty is great. I like the added challenge of not being able to move with the ball, it really makes the player think hard about their positioning and timing. The aesthetics are very clean and i love the vibe. The music is nice and i love the little sounds, the sound of the ball hitting the post makes me feel better about being bad at the game and missing. The gameplay feels very responsive and I felt completely in control of my character. My first run the cursor had vanished for some reason? I think it may be because I had it on my second monitor for a second while the game was starting.
This is a fun idea. The controls and visuals are a little janky. Holding down the any of the arrows or WASD makes the guys animation go crazy. The art is silly and fits the vibe of the game, same for the sound. I will say thought the metal pipe falling sound is a bit too loud. The scoreboard button also has a strange hitbox or something. I end up opening the settings instead of the laederboard when i try to click on it. I had fun with the game and got 5th on the scoreboard though. Good job guys!
I love the aesthetics of the game. Its very chill and i like that but i feel it is also a little bit of a detractor to the game. I think adding more feedback to the the balls hitting stuff could make it a bit more engaging. Something like a pop sound or like a little animation when they get hit. I think maybe making the balls get faster over time could up the difficulty a little bit too. Personally I like games where I can just chill and play for a long time so I really did enjoy playing your game, good job!
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed playing my game. I tried to simulate some ramping gameplay using the power-ups but i see how that can be not enough at times. I currently don't have any ideas for a solution but i will absolutely look into it. Maybe i can add more defenders to the other side of the field.
Thanks for the comment. The way i made the balls move was just tilting the entire board 30 degrees so its just gravity pulling the balls down haha. I could probably make the angle steeper to get them to move quicker or maybe increase their mass in the rigidbody component. I have noticed the slow balls being a common issue so I will for sure look into ways to speed 'em up.
Thanks alot for the feedback i appreciate it. I noticed that issue with the balls under the flippers too. It is unfortunately very common lol, the only solution i could come up with in the time was adding the wing-back players to the left and right of the flippers to get the ball out if it reached them. Then the issue became getting the ball to reach them lol. I'll definitely try to think up some better solutions though thanks.
Thanks for the feedback! I've noticed the issue with the flippers and I think its something to do with the collision detection. Ill definitely look more into it I'm fairly new to development so it'll mostly be trial and error LOL. As for the player it should be able to freely move between its min and max Z value. I believe the issue could be because i made it move too fast, but i am unsure.
