After figuring out the controls and the hitboxes, it gets very fun! A bit hard sometimes as there is no buffer and it doesn't allow imprecisions, but I love the idea and execution. Idk how you managed to get 150+ tho :o

this is such a beautiful game and it's fun too, but the kicking feels inconsistent, and the kick hitbox isn't really clear. still, the gameplay is fun, engaging and makes you want to play more everytime.
Thank you very much!! For the kick hitbox, try to pay attention to the yellow outline on the gift, which only appears when you can kick it 👀 and we do know the kicking feels a bit inconsistent at times, but it helps if you know that kicking from the left side of the player sends it forward, and kicking with the right side of the player sends it upwards (not forward). Hope this can help you play with less struggles!!
The game was fun! That art was well done, and it's very satisfying to jump kick a present. I do wish the kick hitbox was a little more forgiving, but maybe it's a skill issue lol

smart design to have the gift horizontal moving speed faster than the side scroll speed, which brings the gameplay more depth. well done!

Had a tough time with the game. Instead of enter use the LMB to kick. That would be better I think. But, the game looks good

Gameplay is simple and fun yet hard (notice how nobody went over 200) and it feels fair, I've never felt like I lost because of RNG or something, only skill issues :)
There is not much of a football in this game but game has probably best implementation of Leaderboard so game passes on theme.
I'd like a bit more diversity in sound, at the moment game sounds a bit bland.

I spammed enter really fast and long, I think I've pressed "play" button few times before game even started

Extremely fun game, great job! If I had one criticism, it's that I very often accidentally started a new game because I pressed Enter and missed a kick right when the final menu pops up, which resulted in me having to retry for my high score before I could submit it multiple times. Other than that, the mechanics felt amazing!

We added the quick retry shortcut as a requested last minute feature so we didnºt end up testing it, but it makes a lot of sense, we should have added some time between that.

I like the theme interpretation and how it's "in-season", and the gameplay, while simple, had a surprising amount of strategy to it. Really wish you could use another key for kicking, like Z, since Enter feels really weird to use together with arrow keys - I would totally try a few more times for the #1 spot otherwise
Ahh we can absolutely add the Z shortcut after the voting period ends, we tried to do playtesting with different people but didn't have that much time to agree on the best keyboard controls. Thank you very much for your feedback!

Wow, i had a lot of fun playing this, good game! I think it would be better if you didnt need to press enter to kick, because i was just spamming it all the time when jumping towards the gift. But anyway this is such enjoyable game!

Really fun! The graphics looks great and music is really nice. It took me a couple of tries to understand how the kick worked with the present but had a great time once I did.
