Like everyone said, loved the wall sliding mechanics, with improvement in 2D sprites, I think it would make a cool game.
Pretty cool controls. I like the wall sliding mechanic, reminds me of super meat boy. Fun game overall.
Yeah, I realize the difficulty jumps quickly at one stage there. I wanted to scale the difficulty over a longer playtime but was getting close to the deadline and felt if I didn't increase the difficulty when I did the overall game could end up too easy overall so I opted to scale faster to ensure completing on time. It's something I intend to fix up if I get time to revisit the game.
I enjoyed the wall sliding and jumping. I like the protagonists design :)
There was a bug during one of my playthroughs where my character didn't respawn after dying on a laser mine/obstacle. justa heads up. A tiny recommendation; script the camera so it doesn't move every time you jump; only when he approaches the edge of the screen. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the feedback. Initially he did run faster but it made his jumping arc to long and hard to control and I didn't have time to come back and try adjusting it again due to the timeline, it's definitely something I'd like to adjust in the future if I get a chance to build the game up more. Not sure what happened with the re-spawning though, never had it happen to me and I ran the game a few times in play-testing, hopefully it was a one off bug.
