Super stocked with another sokoban entry for the jam. The levels and mechanics for the part I got to felt cool and challenging enough that not every level is a oneshot but nothing takes soo much time that I’d give up.

Graphically and sfx wise the game is on spot, I really enjoyed the atmosphere you created! Well done! Hoping to finish it off stream!

Developer

Thank you, fellow puzzle jammer! Lots in the works right now for the post-jam update, check back in a week to see if I got them up!

Great execution on all levels, feels like a complete and polished game! Maybe some sfx could make the movement feel more responsive and tactile, but other than that I don't have any critique, amazing job!

I imagine it being very hard to create balanced levels for this kind of game under time pressure, but I think you nailed it.  I really like the design and overall atmosphere, congrats!

Developer

Thanks a ton, that's all so kind of you to say! I'm so shocked that the puzzle design worked out for the most part, as this is my first attempt at this style of game. I learned a fair bit from one of my favorite newer indie titles, Isles of Sea and Sky, another Sokoban-style adventure! Check that out if you haven't already.

What a lovely puzzle game. The art and music really set the scene, and the puzzles are challenging. I love the animations that play if one of them tries to go through the door alone. Those details make it a joy to play.

Developer

That's so kind of you, thanks a ton! Glad you enjoyed the animations and found challenges to overcome. More challenges soon!

Submitted(+1)

The art and music were great, and I loved all of the animations. Also as a big fan of puzzle games, I thought this was done really well, and you got the difficulty almost perfect. I didn't find most of them too challenging, but there were at least two levels that had me thinking pretty hard, but in a good way. Great Work!

Developer

Thank you! That's so great about the difficulty, I wasn't able to have others playtest so it was a bit of a shot in the dark each time I made a level! I'm relieved that most have been able to fully complete it though. Thanks again.

Absolutely loved this game. I had a lot of fun and the puzzles were just the perfect amount of difficulty level. I adore the art and little animations! Love the title and the concept too.

Developer

That means so much, thanks a ton for playing and leaving feedback!

I feel like puzzle difficulty can be so tricky to balance and this absolutely NAILS it! You managed that AND made such lovely art and music to go with it. Such a well done little game!

Developer

Very grateful for your feedback, cause I was constantly wondering if I was making things too hard or too easy! Thanks a ton!

Submitted(+1)

Absolutely wonderful. So fun, easy to jump in right away and play, gorgeous visuals. I would have LOVED some audio feedback with their movements and actions, even something super subtle, to help it feel a little more lived-in but that's me reaching for something to give feedback on! Really wonderful work.

I really appreciate you playing and leaving feedback! I agree, missing SFX is a bummer, but I think if I spent any time on it with the time I had left I might not have finished the music or submitted on time! It'll be there in the first update post-voting period, keep an eye out. Thank you!

This game is amazing. The art is adorable, the music really get's you in the mood for a good puzzle, and the levels deliver! I was trying level 2 wrong for longer than I'd like to admit, dang Nobs just wouldn't get to the right. Once I got the hang of the movement patters, though, the game really becomes a treat to work out. Will definitely check it out again when there's more levels!

Developer

Wow, thank you so much for the love! That dang Nobs, what a mischievous little goblin. I was hoping things would click within the first few levels, so it's awesome to read that it did. I'll make it well-known when the first update is ready!

Love the art, great puzzles. Pretty amazing

Developer

Thank you so much, that's great to read! More puzzles and more mechanics to come soon!

Cool little puzzle game, good graphics and pretty cool music, good job on the cool game!!

Developer

Thank you Mr. Spook! I was unsure about the music for a while but there’s been a good response so far. Stoked to try your game out later today, your progress messages in the discord were invigorating!

Nice work, awesome artwork and style. The only thing missing was some sfx, when they get angry be great to hear them yelling gha.

Developer

Great minds think alike, cause I had the same idea!! Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!

Played all the levels. Masterful puzzle game. Two of the puzzles really got me

The vibes are immaculate as well

Developer

Thank you for such kind words! It’s awesome to read that my puzzles successfully puzzled. Mission accomplished!

Okay I've played about 5 games so far and as of now this one is a favorite of mine! I feel like it's really well polished and I love the style of it as well as the music. As I was learning things through each level I found myself being delightfully surprised. Great job!!

Developer(+1)

That’s so great, exactly what I want to read about your experience! Thank you so much!

It's really complete but I'm really bad at this game. I love the lightning, the music complements the aura.
I loved how you used the theme for your game.

Hope you will develop the game further, it's a worthy idea!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the kindness, sorry to read about your experience though! I’m curious if there was a particular level you got stuck on, cause it would be good feedback for me to adjust the visual language or more explicitly define the movement possibilities before reaching that challenge. I’m really glad you felt the music fits, I was doubting myself throughout making it!

For me, it was the first time introducing the breaking platforms, but I've played it for a bit longer and figured it out. After that, everything was smooth, the key feature was really good, and gave so much depth to the puzzles. The breaking platforms might have been a skill issue for me.

This is so well-polished! The movement and animations are so seamless, and the flickering lights make for good atmosphere. I especially love the head-shaking/fist-waving animation when one brother tries to exit without the other - it really helps flesh out the relationship between the two goblins.

I am not so great at this style of puzzle, but I appreciated that there is room to experiment and explore each area. I never felt like I was expected to discover the single correct sequence of moves to solve a puzzle. It makes the game more forgiving (but still challenging,) and it makes the dungeon feel more like a real place instead of a space that was reverse-engineered for a puzzle.

Developer(+1)

Awesome, I’m so glad you had a good time! There are definitely multiple solutions to several puzzles, so it’s good to hear the flexibility was felt! I’m so stoked to add dialogue and story later to really cement these characters and the environment further.

Wow, thats impressive, great job! I loved it! Cute pixel art and great mechanics. Which software did you use to make the music? Its awesome!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, so glad you loved it! I use Reason 12 to make music, have been for several years now. It’s amazing software with a fairly steep learning curve (and price tag, though the subscription option isn’t terrible if you don’t want to drop a few hundred on a perm license), but it’s so flexible and powerful I can’t bring myself to use anything else.

Thanks for the reply, Didn't know about this one, i will definitely take a look on that. All the best to you!

Needs some sound effects pretty badly, and an undo button would be nice, but oh MAN is this a GREAT puzzle game. I am impressed with how perfect the difficulty is. It’s a difficult balance to strike but you hit it dead center. There are so many levels that I’m sure were not easy to design so expertly and I love the introduction of each new mechanic. Cute sprites, calm colors, and lovely music too. This one’s a keeper.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Undo was actually in the works during the jam, but I was fighting too many bugs with the crates in later levels so I decided to omit it for the jam version. It’ll definitely show up sometime in the near future, along with sound effects! I really appreciate you playing and leaving feedback 😁
