Welcome to the Pursuing Pixels James Jam Game Gam!?!  In celebration of our (belated) five-year anniversary, we're hosting the PPJJGG for the third time — and even hoping that we can eventually make this a bi-annual event!  We've discovered sooooo many amazing games + developers via digging through various game jams right here on itch.io, and this is just one small way for us to 'return the favor.'  :D

• Theme:   ???  (will be announced at the start of the jam)

• Rules:  Same as last year, we're gonna keep the rules for this one super duper lax!  We're also giving everyone a week to work on their projects, as we don't want anyone to feel like they have to crunch for an entire weekend to crank something out — we just want to see some fun, cool, and creative games from some fun, cool, and creative folks!  :D

** That said, a couple of quick & simple rules:

1)  Please feel free to use any pre-existing code and/or assets — just be sure to make note of anything that you used that was not created during the jam.

2)  Please list the controls for the game on the web page — this will simply ensure that people will know how to play your game.

3)  Please make sure the game runs on either PC and/or in web browsers.

4)  Please try to leave CONSTRUCTIVE feedback — whether positive or negative, please leave a little reasoning for your critique(s).

• Judging:  We're going to have the voting open to everyone here, developers and players alike!  We want to encourage more interactivity between folks that love indie games (like us) and the awesome folks that make them!

• Voting:  The voting period will last for one week, coming to a close when the clock strikes midnight  (Eastern Standard Time) on 05/29/2023.

• Winners:   1st Place  -  ???   |   2nd Place  -  ???   |   3rd Place  -  ???

** Kevin will also be doing a series of livestreams and checking out as many of the entries as possible, as well as making YouTube videos spotlighting his personal favorites!

• Join the Discord to connect with other developers, players, and share your progress along the way:   https://discord.gg/CvB3qkAmkt

** The adorable pixel art frogs you see everywhere were done by the incredibly talented Cardboard Moon!
