Great idea and interpretation of the theme. The art and animations look amazing, the puzzles are well thought out, and the mechanics are open to create more. Maybe the mage's movement could be a bit more snappy - accelerate and decelerate faster so it feels less floaty - and also scaled down a bit so they have more room in the level to move around.

Very impressive game! The mechanic was very creative and made for some interesting puzzles. The artwork looks amazing. The text font is great and the background art is beautiful. The animations are very well made and smooth.
Once the gate opened, it was a little difficult to see it, but overall I like the game. Another suggestion would be moving the throw button to maybe shift. That way you can move and throw at the same time.
I would love to see you continue the game, it has a lot of potential for some really fun, challenging levels 😁

Seriously, that mage has got some cannons for arms! I like the concept you went with a lot, and having a sort of spirit clone that appears to be carrying the bag when you have the book could be a cool addition. Some of the levels felt as though they only needed a couple key presses to complete, so consider more obstacles for the player to overcome next time (even if it's just more walls). For your first proper jam, this is a good entry! Congrats on submitting a playable game, it's hard work!
