How does your game bring our theme, The Error is the Feature, to life?
It combines two completely adverse genres: cosy animal crossing style game and psychological horror. The errors and glitches encountered are all intentional to add to the creep-factor.

Did you include a fake publisher splash screen at the start of your game?

No

Did you use the Audius API in your game?

No

If AI was used in your game, let us know how you used it.
I didn't use any AI.

This is a cute game. Catching butterflies was fun. I didn't fully understand the meta game, but I thought that there was a lot to be proud of for making this in 3 days. Really good job!

This was hilarious and so much fun to play! I loved the creepy surprises and the strange neighbor dialogue each day. If it ever became a full game I would happily play more.

Cool game! I like the overall aesthetics a lot, and the writing does accomplish the vibe you were going for.

Arts is nice, but I think for a game firmly in the retro aesthetic like this one, movement should definitely have been grid based (no subpixel positioning) to make it feels nicer to play.

The sound effects are really nice. I enjoyed this game!

I love the pixel art! Nice story

I really like the aesthetic! Just curious, is there anything special after buying everything?

Developer

Sadly no, you just get a cool house full of furniture. Would have loved to add a reward but time was limited

fun game, 5 stars for story! I was able to buy 2 items a the store, the feeling of getting away with it was exhilarating

Love the colour palette and quirky dialogue! Catching the bugs was satisfying and I liked the surprise of how each "giftbox" would accessorize your home in a unique way. The glitches were well implemented too and I was amused when NPCs started talking about it. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past "day 3" where the protagonist goes "test". What I did see of the game I really enjoyed! Good job on the entry :)

What ended your playthrough was a glitch, not too sure what causes it since I haven't been able to reliably replicate it. Thanks for the critique!

No worries! Out of curiosity, what would you have to do to progress past the "test" screen? I tried pressing different keys but they didn't work. Maybe playing in a browser affects it?

Unfortunately I think it softlocks the game,  if you reset it shouldn't happen again (hopefully)
