This was a very different experience for me, I really respect that you wrote such a long story with a lot of dialogues in just 48 hrs. I enjoyed the story and the way you implemented the theme. Well done!

Thanks! Our group pretty much only creates visual novels, so I've been practicing speed-writing for these kinds of jams. I just get into the zone, forget everything, and keep writing until I'm done. And then our poor composer has to edit all the garbage I wrote while my brain was running on fumes, haha. He's the true hero for checking everything and making it readable :D

Nice team work! Congrats to everyone.

Realy huge scale. The art and story created together an strange kind of fun. I like! :D

Submitted(+1)

The scale of the story was impressive, and was pretty funny in an absurd sort of way.

Quite a long story. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Typing all of that feels like a fever dream by now :D

Love the crazy characters. Great job.

DANG this was good! Love the settings & characters!

WHOA! your artstyle is awesome this was funny and strange and wonderful, it has everything you need to be happy. Thank you for this

Developer(+1)

I hope you don't mean the shooting, stabbing, and kidnapping with things that make you happy, haha :D

Thanks for the kind words :)

This Is such a very charming Visual Novel! The way the characters  interact with another and the way its written is so good (and what I wild ride I had reading it lol) the music was great as well I especially liked how Valerie and the soup hero interacted  in the beginning and the name "Padass" the fighting part caught me off guard too  and the art has a charming and funny feel as well great potential! :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the comment, always glad to get feedback! I'll tell the composer that you liked the music, he cranked it all out yesterday evening and I have no clue how :D He also came up with the name "Padass".

Luckily we have an artist that actually knows what he's doing in our group, so our more serious projects have more "proper" art than what I drew for this jam. I really love making crappy paint art for fun, though, so when I saw this jam, I had to do it xD

I lost but tha'ts  a pretty cool game! It's super cool to have a game which mention the "mental load"? (I don't know if it's the right words in english, but in French I mean "charge mentale" ^^)

Developer(+1)

I googled the French phrase and the wikipedia article had a German version which happens to be my native language - I didn't know the English term either!

A lot of people tend to overlook mental load and many other issues that are of the mind as opposed to physical illnesses, so I think it's important to talk about these things in media, even if it can get a little uncomfortable sometimes :)

Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you like the topic!

Surreal!

Submitted(+1)

That was a wild ride. Very well done!

Developer

Thanks! Wild ride was exactly what I was shooting for with that story :D

Nice one, lots of potential!

Developer

Glad you liked it! I always feel like visual novels (which is pretty much the only type of game our group produces atm) may be a bit out of place in game jams, so I'm happy whenever someone likes what we create :)

This was a very interesting story/game and also made me learn about the real story behind it.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Let's hope you found a more realistic source to learn from xD

While researching on Wikipedia, we kept going "wow, this basically writes itself" with all the crazy stuff that went down!

I really liked the story but one thing bugs me... have you ever tried opening a can with a knife?

Developer

Ahaha, it's a sacred art :D
