This game was really fun. I liked the mechanics, and the levels were well constructed. I didn't quite feel that it fit the theme, maybe you could've made it more explicit that the squares were dying, something that occurs to me is that you can add particles, on the moment they disappear. Also, the frequency of the sound when you change of square is kind of annoying, I would recommend avoiding sounds with that frequency, but in general, it was a nice game, good job. I streamed it on my twitch, in case you want to watch it

Thanks for the feedback! and yeah i've seen your forum post and how you reacted to it, I did add an explosion particle for when players die but i guess it wasn't as noticeable as i thought, about the theme i had a hard time trying to come up for something to do with adventure so i've decided to try just focus on the limitation, which i've already been told doesn't relate enough to, I should have probably gave the dying in the game more effect on the gameplay than the effect it had. also something i didn't mention in the game itself but this is the first game i've ever made.. either way i'm glad you enjoyed your time and that you liked the game!
I had fun with the platforming and puzzle elements! I know its been said elsewhere, but it didn't really feel like the squares were dying when you reset them. A possible direction you could take this in is by having environmental hazards to die on, rather than a keypress. This would feel more in-line with the theme and could spice up the puzzle element as well. Just a thought though, nice job overall!
Thanks for the feedback! i actually quite like your idea's suggestions, i may add for future levels, but i don't think i would make it a core mechanic for after the jam since i'm fine with the current mechanics
EDIT: I've also didn't make the death concept be more punishing/hard to do since i originally thought that just its first mechanic as it is now was already too hard for people to understand, which i found out to be wrong.
A pretty good game man! The mechanics of the game are great and the art looks good! The level design is clever!
And its your first game, just like me :) Overall a great job.
Cool idea and I loved the theme of it, good amount of levels as well good job :)
The concept is cool although I didn't really feel like the squares were dying. They were just teleported to the original position without any real consequence. It would be cool if the challenge was based on the fact you are dying. Right now I feel like the game would be the same if the death wasn't there.
Having said that - the game is fun and I think it has potential. The dying mechanic just needs to be explored more.
FAQ
Q: Why is there no background music?
A: I originally planned on using an AI music generator to have the background music for the game but last minute i've realized it wasn't really that free to use, and after i tried to make the music myself and having horrible attempts, i've just decided to put no music at all rather then shitty music.
Q: Why is the game so short?
A: Originally i wanted to make more levels but i thought i'd make the game functional with the 4 levels rather then have a buggy game with a lot of levels, i will update and add more levels in the future.
Q: The game is really easy, why are the levels so basic?
A: I originally thought at the start of development it would be a lot harder for people to pick on the swapping mechanic but it ended up being a lot easier to pick up then i originally thought, with only few people actually having a challenge with it, but i'm definitely gonna update this in the future with more challenging levels and a more challenging aspect to it.
Q: I found a softlock around level 3-4, why is that and how do i beat it?
A: There's no softlock on those levels, there are transparent rectangles on the missing parts of where the platforms should be, all you need to do is just flipped the levers which are already turned on, here's the lever for level 3: https://imgur.com/e7eFIaG
Very interesting concept and very fitting with the Jam, The only problem is that is very easy to get sotft locked maybe a reset buton or key would help a lot. Overall I enjoy the game !
Thanks for the feedback!
Assuming you're talking about the same softlock issue as someone else told me, in levels 3 & 4 there's actually no softlock, you just need to flip the already flipped on switch, to return the opened door thats marked by a transparent blue and red rectangle, probably should've made that more clear, but here's what i mean by the already flipped on lever on level 3:

I liked this. The sound effects were great and the animation on the cube was excellent. I like the main mechanic has a lot of promise, but unfortunately I don't think its is fully realized yet. Rather than making the level harder or more interesting, it just makes them take longer.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm definitely aware of the flaws with the levels being quite easy and not as challenging, i'll definitely update the game later making the game more challenging, i wanted to make more levels originally but i thought i'd make the game functional with the 4 levels rather then have a buggy game with a lot of levels
Nice puzzle game. I love the concept !
I think starting over everytime would become frustrating and later level should be designed with this in mind.
Thanks for the feedback! I'd definitely have that in mind for future levels and updates, i've thought already of doing stuff similair to level 2 but more complex with having more stages to it, with doors around the respawn point being a way to continue throughout the level so when you swap and get spawned back at the start, you don't always have to keep reiterating your steps.
This was really fun! I love the concept of swapping between two bodies, never even crossed my mind but its quite a cool interpretation! I do have to say that the challenge was quite low, but for 5 demo levels I think you showed the essence of the game and future updates could have you come up with even more mind boggling puzzle. For your first game its a great job!
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback, i originally thought at the start of development it would be a lot harder for people to pick on the swapping mechanic but it ended up being a lot easier to pick up then i originally thought, with only few people actually having a challenge with it, but i'm definitely gonna update this in the future with more challenging levels, knowing that the mechanic isn't as complex for people to understand as i thought it would be
Fun little puzzle game, reminded me a lot of original flash games. the sprite work is nice ! i really like the aesthetic and the way you introduced the tutorial was great. there's a few collision issues around one or two levels but honestly i cant see much wrong with this! great concept and would love to see it expanded with more puzzles !
