Extremely impressive for a solo dev!

I'd really appreciate if you rated my game as well :]

Dude this is an awesome start to a game. I really like the combo of grappling hook + bomb. It was really fun! Art style and aesthetic was on point. I really like the way you depicted the wind. The wind did feel a tad bit too strong, though — especially when it suddenly changed directions, it would catch me off guard. The boss fight was also really cool!

A few little glitches with the hookshot getting stuck sometimes, but when it works, it feels really good to play! Amazing game design as always!! nice work

The game needs to be balanced and needs a lot of adjustments, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you very much! :)

Love the grappling hook mechanic. Overall a solid game

Developer

I'm glad you liked it, thank you!

This is a nice art style. reminded me of "A link to the past" this was a nice flashback.

The char is on a "hoverboard"? Nice idea. Its fun surfing in the desert.

Would have loved a bit more interactions and gameplay.

I gotta say, I'm really digging the whole vibe of juggling my grapple hook energy while dealing with those crazy wind changes. Visually, it's a feast, and the music totally rocks.
Explosions feel so satisfying. But hey, if I had to give some advice for future updates, maybe dialing in the combat a bit would be cool. Sometimes it's just too chaotic to keep track, you know? Overall though, solid stuff!

Also if you could review my game Ascent, I would very much appreciate it!

Fun gameplay, sometimes the grappling hook would get stuck but no big deal, a little frustrating the wind change too fast sometimes, solid and well thought out game, reminded me of old arcade games

The art is spectacular! Also I really like the theme and once you get a hang of the grappling hook it's actually pretty fun to whip around the level. Very fun to play!! My one critique is that the sudden wind changes and only being able to stay still by moving directly against the wind caused some deaths that didn't seem like there was anything I could do to prevent them.

Concept was awesome, use of theme and limitation was awesome, pixel art looks awesome! Bit on the difficult side for me! I'd probably revisit this to get further later on. 😅

best i got was 6 before i gave up, this is hard lol
i really really liked the idea and the artstyle!

enemies were really hard to dodge around tho and i once found myself dead and being dragged down the bottom of the screen for a while before i could restart.

all in all this was really fun but really hard!

Really cool concept with tons of potential.

I think its such a cool idea to be managing your grapple hook energy while navigating the wind changes and fighting enemies. I like that there were blocks where I could essentially rest.

Presentation and game feel are really strong here. the game looks great, and the music is stellar. The sound effects all feel punchy and the explosions are effective.

My feedback should you choose to expand or update this game after the jam is to maybe tighten up combat a bit. Perhaps have the enemies telegraph what their next attack directions are going to be because sometimes it felt to hectic to track them, and other times it felt cheap because I misjudged the next due to the presence of multiple enemies just out of view.

I like how you incorporated the limitation into your game and made considering wind a necessity when trying to conserve or regain grapple energy.

Really really cools game, with fantastic visuals and a unique idea.

I love the art!! but I was a little confused on the controls. Could use a easy first level. other than that grate game!!

Really fun game and well polished, the sprites are good but the game looks a little buggy and maybe a tutorial on how to play cause i only find out about the bombs 2 plays later, but a really fun concept, i liked the grapple mecanic and the death animation. Good entry overall

good little game, the 2D sprites and the music are very beautiful. However, the game lacks a bit of difficulty, you can rush through all the levels in a straight line without losing any life and destroying all the statuses. which makes the grappling hook not very useful. moreover the colitions are a little buggy with the wind. Overall the game is still fun.

Really fun, I completed it on my second try after realizing I could drop up to three bombs consecutively.

I never had to use the grappling hook as the gusts of wind could easily be managed by simply moving. You could increase the difficulty by perhaps including more ravines and holes.

Great job, I would happily play other levels!

Thanx for the feedback! :D

really reminds me of the old zelda games! challenging but fair enough that I gave it a good few tries! I couldn't work out how to hurt the boss though and waiting to be blown off after I died was a bit frustrating

Loved this one! Amazing the level of complexity and polish you achieved in just 3 days! Particularly enjoyed the level of challenge and how responsive the commands are :D
