Or maybe contact Helper Wesley on discord. I dunno what's going on with your submit, but it should be the full game on this page if done properly, not just a link. And the link should be on the submissions page as it is now. Maybe just leave a comment in the description, that it can be found there?

Have u tried this?

Ok, that's weird.

You can still edit the page, so that you know. :)

I think asset flips are explicitly prohibited in the rules. But somehow these remaining ones have either found a way around, or yet undetected. The focus being on "just" an asset flip. I suppose we'll see if some are still dropped when the judges period starts.

I think templates are ok, when used properly within the rules.

This was really ambitious and cool for a game jam project! I love the 1-bit style and if I understood correctly, it has random level generation and destructible terrain?! That's amazing for a jam game! You must be a wizard... Felt quite a finished gameboy game already and ready for the shops.

I like the gung-ho attitude of this game. :) Couldn't figure out how to hurt the boss, or if you were supposed to. Those death texts! 🤣

Solid idea! And good interpretation of the theme! The implementation is kinda wonky though. I initially thought the controls were broken, cuz nothing happened and there was no attack animation. But apparently sometimes it did something, cuz enemies died. Also the copyright announcement on the music was annoying. Not sure if it's terms for disqualifying, but too lazy to report it. Keep at it and I'm sure you'll do better next time!

Ok, nice UI then! It all blended very nicely.

The artwork was great and the music & atmosphere also! Makings of a good game. I got the feeling, that you were not meant to survive for long. :) Also, couldn't find instructions. Just guessed X is for shoot. If there was anything else, I missed it.

Nice game! Simple but fun. The theme was kinda lost for me.

Yeah, I get what ur saying. And to a margin, yes.  What I was getting at, was that if I'm stuck playing asset flip games, my time is kinda wasted in terms of playing actual games. I might not get to the game I would have liked or rated the highest. Beginner or not, there should be some kind of effort made. They're not gonna win by simply posting nonsense and claiming it their own. It's overall bad for them and the others. I actually kind of like to play beginner level games that may not have the polish, but have the spirit. Might actually get a higher score from me that way. Then again, there is the "report" button if foul play is suspected. That should be enough for sorting it out.
(Just my opinion here as well :) )

Nice game! Lots of content. I assume it's basically all free assets, but put to good use! Had alot of similarities to our game and at one point we actually were kind of going this direction as well. Then dropped it to focus on the main idea. :)

Rated. Simple yet chagming! Interesting choice having the player remain stationary while shooting. Tbh I didn't understand half of what was going on. After the first wave I went to the nearest tree and it killed me. :)

Nice game and a good use of the free assets. Felt quite fun to progress and play! The autofire was a nice addition to give my already laboured index finger a rest. :) What I wish it had differently, was that the countdown for the upgrades didn't count all the way down each time, if you already selected something. Not gonna rate graphx as highly, as they were external assets, but really nice game!

Just post this link into the "link to gdgames" slot in ur page.
Edit: nevermind, it was already there. But the link in this page should be replaced with the one in the comments too. I guess you're missing the https:// part

Nice game! I suppose BSOD spells that too. :) I liked the retro computer style aesthetic. It gets quite hard with the bouncing enemy projectiles, that can penetrate objects too! I suppose the enemy is the overpowered one in this one.

Interesting! I like the risk/reward aspect!

Really creative and fun!

Thanks!

Thank you. And sure thing!

This. ☝️

Not all of them are rated, but you should easily find out from the description.

I generally don't throw shade at the use of AI. It's still a tool. If it's good, it's good. I will give more grace to obviously self-drawn art and creativity tho. Since this is a jam and we should definitely rate based on the design and what they were going for, not just polish.

That's quite the effort! I'm going on 110 and I would be glad to reach even 150 by the end! I kind of agree, that it's quite annoying to see spammy entries that are just asset flips or not even that. Just an unedited sample project. I'm pretty sure we should just report those, as they are against the rules. They're basically stealing a rate away from a legitimate contender as there's  no way to get to all of them. Some of them have been removed, but a few remain. Still, I hear ya, gotta be graceful to the noobies...

Thanks! I'm sure our art department will appreciate as well. :) You have familiar looking character sprites in ur thumbnail too (if u see our credits -section). ;) I'll be sure to check it out!

Thanks! That's a great compliment!

Thanks!

Yes, you can edit the page. Just ask Wesley if still unsure.

This was definitely unique in terms of being one of, or the only grid-based and hexagon games I played! Pretty creative too! Good job! I kinda wish there were quicker controls for changing the action, so you can quickly disable whatever option you chose, that wasn't applicable to the situation. I also think I broke it: tried to follow a weapon I lost at the previous level and got stranded🫠

Haha, this was great! I already appreciated the Stallone movie reference, but the game itself was hilarious! I trained to over 9000!!!

Cool! I liked the powerups!

Kudos for making basically a learning game based on the theme! Definitely not many of those around. ;) It was pretty fun too!

Really? U put all your exposition at the beginning? I kind of thought that when I died and the AI talked to me some more, that that would be the case a bunch more times and there would be more to the story. Not sure what u mean by 'secret'. I didn't assume that.

Yeah, I mean there were some problems with the movement etc., but I will gladly check out a more finished version and the full lore etc. :)

This seemed really cool and the kind of game I would be into! Might actually return for the full version!

Really nice, crispy graphics in the title menu! Otherwise, this is Superman 64 with a ball. :) I would have appreciated if the ball even spinned. Though understandable, if you had schedule troubles.

Haha, nice! Loved the intro! And the gameplay was really satisfying when u got to hold, say, 5 sniper rifles simultaneously. :D

The visuals are amazing! Sorry to hear about your troubles in development. Unfortunately, I don't really get what my choices do in the game. Perhaps a result of the disrupted dev cycle? It's pretty to look at tho!

Haha, well done!
