Wow, for your first game jam game this was very well made! Although I do think the enemy spawn can be lowered a bit.

absolutely love the look of this game—it's gorgeous and easily one of the best-looking games I've played recently. The gameplay feels so smooth and well-thought-out, especially with the cool attack/defend mechanic adding a nice twist. But, I do think throwing in some indestructible objects could spice things up a bit and shake off the temptation to spam the same moves. Also, when the lightning hits and the screen fills up with enemies, it feels like it's cranked up to 11. Maybe easing up on that intensity could make it not feel like it's all climax, all the time. Overall, though, it's a fantastic experience with just a couple of spots that could use a tweak.

Looks very good! And plays well! As a development idea I'd mix it up a little with indestructible objects too, to force player movement and not allow them to rely too much on spinny attacks. Sadly, I didn't get far enough to see the weather change. 😅

Fantastic art style! I loved how the game looked, def one of the most visually appealing games in the jam.
Gameplay was very polished and nothing overstayed its welcome. I like the addition of an attack/defend ability, adds some additional strategic depth to this sort of game.
My only feedback is that it might be a bit too hard when the lightning shows up and the screen is still packed with mosquitos. There probs need to be some peaks and valleys in the difficulty, rn its all peaks.

good little game, the graphics are super beautiful and well animated. the game is right on theme, however the difficulty is quite hard. It's hard to skip a minute of play without dying. overall well play

Really cute character and interesting mechanics!
Very cute animation and art direction. Love all the colors and characters. Really beautiful fluid frame by frame animations. Gameplay was fine and fun to hit the spinny attack. Only issue I had was it being a little unclear where the hitbox was for my player and the enemies since there are a lot of extended features (big twirly helicopter, long legs and big wings, etc). Nice work on all of the polish

What if only the vulnerable area flashed red during the hurt/death animation? I noticed the whole body flashes red including the propellers (which can't actually hit enemies). Perhaps a similar treatment for the enemies flashing when you touch them to indicate the parts you should learn to avoid

Really fun and challenging! The visuals and the animations were pristine. I want to see what happens after the second season, can't wait to finally get past 59 :,(
fun game. easy to get use to the controls. somehow it took me a while to find out that you could kill bugs somehow though.
