Use of the limitation
on a literal level our game takes place above a black hole, a scenario in which there is no ground. on a thematic level, the main character engages with the meaninglessness of their final mission, we thought "there is no ground" a nice metaphor for that sentiment of disillusionment, depression and ennui.

very polished game with good sound and art
thanks for playing and for the kind words!
Great job the art was great and the sound was great. The only thing I wish there was was being able to see the black hole as it was photographed. Other then that the ending was a great finale. Well done :D.
thank you for playing, i’m glad you liked it! i agree we could have done more to show the black hole and make it more clear that there was a black hole down there.
Really nice graphics and polished game. I enjoyed it a lot.
The only thing I would've liked was if I could've shot the projectiles on my own.
It was great to do just the WASD movement in the beginning, but the second time I went with my gun I was like, mhm, that's kinda boring to just press W till I'm up again.
But since it's just a little, short game and there were progression in story, it wasn't a big deal since it was only this short amount of time I got this feeling.
Nothing else to say. Superb work!
thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it! thanks for the feedback too and i agree with it fully – we had all sorts of fun and interesting weapons planned for the player but sadly we ran out of time.
Loved this game! Great story!
thank you for playing! glad you enjoyed it.
wow, so beautiful, i almost cried.
thanks so much for playing!
Really cool game. I do wish there was the black hole in the level. Plus maybe correct orbital mechanics too...
thanks for playing, glad you liked it! i would’ve liked to do that too – we initially planned to lean into the 2d physics sim concept but it was too difficult to do gameplay balance for that within the timeframe.
nice choice of concept to go with the web theme I never would have thought of the James Webb telescope
thank you, that was RiptideRealms’s idea and as soon as he said it i knew it was perfect.
Was viben to the music ngl
thank you! i’m proud of these songs i’m definitely getting better as a video game composer over time.
Presentation was amazing on this one, short but sweet. Good work!
thanks so much for playing and for the kind words.
very nice and clean game
thank you for playing, i’m glad you enjoyed it.
I got hit in the feels.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. The art style was clean, the instructions clear, and the execution of the gameplay loop was easy to understand. The use of the limitation was good(much better than mine, lol).
Still waiting to see what it looks line inside a blackhole!
Anyway, thanks for crafting this bittersweet story!
oh thank you for playing – i’m glad it had an emotional impact! i thought Spidercide was awesome.
Touching story and great atmpshere, the concept of being absolutely alone, in the middle of infinite space, with nothing, but AI as your companion... This feels sad, scary and somehow exciting at the same time. Great work!
thank you so much for playing, i’m glad to hear you found it touching :)
I'm not crying, you're crying! The story was surprisingly impactful for such a short game. The gameplay was simple, but engaging and felt great to control. The graphics and sound also helped bring the whole experience together in a nice way. My only gripe is very minor and more of a "well actually...", but the character should always keep moving in the direction of velocity in space instead of always falling "down", but that's not really a big deal. Haha.
i’m glad you liked it! as a fellow “well actually” i appreciate that too haha. the reason for the “falling” was that the game’s setting is above a black hole and the player was within the black hole’s gravitational pull – we could have done more visually to indicate the black hole.
thanks so much for playing and for the feedback!
Yeah, that makes sense, and it would have clicked more if there was some sort of gravitational wave or bubble effect going down to remind me of that. Because there wasn't the visual of the black hole, it didn't click, but that makes sense given the scope. I was trying to generate an actual gas cloud at the bottom of my level, but I wasn't able to get it to work right so I settle for a green plane because of the deadline. Haha.
lmao yeah exactly! game jam deadlines are tough…
It's soooo polished, my god! Great work!!!
thank you for playing our game, i’m glad you liked it!
Amazing and touching story! Polished gameplay. Nice visual performance. Well chosen music and sounds.
Excellent work!
thank you, i’m glad you liked it! i composed all the music in this game!
Nice and clear.
thank you for playing!
Very well use of limitation. The story is very emotional ! I think that it could make a bit faster when going up a bit. It is a bit slow. But worth playing until the end
thank you, and i definitely agree, we have plans for how to handle player speed that we’ll add after the game jam!
this... this is beautiful and sad at the same time, the game was less then 10 minute, but you can make me feel a lot of emotion, I love it, absolutely love it :')
I'm not crying, you are!
thank you, i’m so glad you enjoyed our little game!
This is such a lovely game! My only issue is that you can't skip text boxes.
thank you! i agree – we initially tried to have the pre-journey text show up while you were moving around so you wouldn’t have to wait for it, but we couldn’t get it to work in time. thanks for playing!
The neatest game in this jam. Cool art style. The camera movements and the smooth pan and zoom is really well done. And the little story is nice too. Slowly falling alone in despair into the black hole at the end gave me the chills. The intro track sounds familiar. Maybe like that one from the final mission of mass effect 2 I think, which is neat given that this game is also about a final mission. Very good job on polishing this game.
wow, that’s very kind of you to say! we weren’t able to include a lot of the content we planned for, but hey that’s game jams. i’m glad you enjoyed our little game. thank you for playing!
