Overall the visuals are fantastic, really liked the aesthetic you were going for and the color pallets, the gameplay was a bit confusing at the beginning butt then I got the hang of it, I liked the concept of the air enemies being teleported into the world, reminded me of something out of evangelion!

This was a fun arcade game, kind of hard due to the hitscan automatic weapon and the enemies jumping so fast. A lot of (limited) ammo wasted. Does feel like a complete package but a little shallow.

Should have a restart button, not just a quit button.

Looks beautiful, I especially loved the introduction.

Absolutely love the art style! I also really loved the feeling of scale you gave the mech in the intro.

The game itself felt very good to control, and easy to move around.

My only grip would be on how hard it is to tell when you've hit an enemy, and just how hard the game is in general.

The aesthetic is awesome, i like this very synthwave/vaporwave look.

I also like the initial setup where you start in the base and embark in your mech to truly feel the scale of what you're about to pilot.

The only real negative here for me was the difficulty, enemies take quite some hits to kill and spawn in a bit too fast :/

But other than that it's really fun to play and i like the default minigun weapon !

Good job :)

The aesthetic of this game was certainly on point! The enemy spawn and dodge rate was a little high, but the game was still enjoyable. Didn't care for the music honestly, but the visuals made up for it! Great work overall.

Damn, sorry to all with the yield thing, I'm gonna do some research into how to fix it. Most results are saying "don't use yields in your code at all", which means it might take a pretty hefty code rewrite. Will def spend some time with it though

I believe I fixed this! :D The updated verison should now be live

Yes it works now! Thanks, I had fun now that I can play without lag :D And my original comment stands about how awesome your aesthetic is

Great work!

Love the visuals, the opening, and the visuals of the world. Sadly I'm also getting the errors that start when enemies spawn which can cause quite a bit of lag for me and resulting in an untimely death. Would love to try again if it gets updated!

The intro is well done in that it made me expect a horror concept and reminded me a bit of evangelion. Then, the game tried to start, and I encountered that same Godot error:

"ERROR: Resumed function '_process()' after yield, but class instance is gone. At script: res://entities/spawn_portal/spawn_portal.gd:43

   At: modules/gdscript/gdscript_function.cpp:1873"

Got an entity that's initiating a condition and then destroying itself before the condition can resolve?

Really cool intro with the looming mech! Your art style is gorgeous

Great work there!

Unfortunately Godot constantly throws this error for me; "ERROR: Resumed function '_process()' after yield, but class instance is gone. At script: res://entities/spawn_portal/spawn_portal.gd:43

   At: modules/gdscript/gdscript_function.cpp:1873"

Which makes it really laggy and I can't really progress at all
