Very good looking game, and the audio is great too! The gameplay was a bit difficult in some levels, but I really appreciate being able to change the sensitivity. Good job! Also, I have to ask, did you relly make this music in Garageband? I haven't used it in some time, didn't know it could produce this!

Thanks! Yea the balance is a bit off I agree. That’s usually how it goes in these game jams.  I’d swap around the order of a few in retrospect but I wanted the gumball machine one to be second to last to reinforce the candy machine name. The last was always going to be the git gud one. Regarding music - 100% garage band on iOS. Here is a screenshot of the project

Edit: one other thing about the sound. I purposefully made the candy collision sound like a snare drum. You will notice it if you play around on level 1 or 2. It fits in with the music so some people don’t even notice but it’s the candy sound :)

That looks  a lot more advanced than how I used Garageband but then again I didn't do a lot with it haha

GarageBand is super powerful these days. Live loops is an incredible feature. It’s like being a DJ and you mix various stuff together in the mixer interface shown above. I use it almost exclusively for game jams (have tried them all and used to love Figure and FL Studio)

Very frustrating, but good game!

This was extremely fun, and the music was great too. I gave up on the final level after 100 attempts because I need to get to the other 193 entries, but still.

Developer

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it. About to take a look at your submission!

This is a lot of fun. I like the levels where you have to fling the ball toward the goal. And I loved tinkering with the speed to see what works for the level. And the music slaps hard. Great Job.

Thanks!!

I think we got a winner here! This game is really good. The music is great along with simple but good graphics. The game's mechanics are good on paper, and it is beautifully executed here. The game's overall gameplay is strong and addicting. 5/5

One hour and over 200 attempts later, I finally made it. I love the minimalistic art style and the music!

This would make an awesome mobile game!

Maybe check out my game later?

You got my rating :)

Love the idea but the difficulty of the levels were a bit off. The music and art style were fantastic though, and I still enjoyed the game a lot. Wonderful submission!

The best game of the jam. But I spend a whole f*****g hour at the last level, and coundnt make it! It will haunt me on my dreams.

Developer

Thank you so much! The last level is a bitch but I promise it can be done.

There were a few times when I felt like the controls were a little sensitive, but other than that this is a pretty awesome game!

Developer

Thanks! Yea I noticed that during play testing and you can change the sensitivity by pressing the 1-9 keys

Really cool game but it is sometimes too hard and some times too easy. Great game overall!!

Did you really make the song durring the jam period? Cuz if so thats pretty impressive on its own. Overall well polished and implemented game!

Developer(+1)

Yes sir, if you have experience using GarageBand (iPad) and their live loops feature, it's not very difficult at all. Basically you pick your "beat box" and then you play around with the timing of the various loops. GarageBand is insanely powerful.

And thanks!

Submitted

Yeah insanely powerful and it shows! The song genuinely sounded like something I’d have to pay for haha! Once again, very impressive
