This is a cool game! I had fun running around and defeating the waves of enemies. But I couldn't get very far because the melee weapons would stop working after a couple swings. I'm not sure why though, and I tried both the web and Windows versions. Still, it's a very interesting concept! Nice work!

This is a really fun game once you get the hang of the controls, It was a bit confusing on what each weapon did so I would recrements putting some kind of answer key like thing under the controls, other than that this is a fun game to chill and play, and for a first game you did exceptionally well in bringing everything together. Never stop making game. I hope to see more in the future!
Wherever this takes place...it's so dangerous! Why are these kids fighting? Who made the shotgun cane and for what purpose? Did the baker know his baguette would be an instrument of death? I have so many questions after playing this!
For a first project, this is really great. Well done. I think the ninja stars were the easiest weapon to use. Only a true master should use the baguette. The art is good and I felt you really stuck to the theme. I think it would be fine to increase the enemies, maybe reduce their health just a bit and make the weapons attack twice as fast for an absolutely crazy Vampire Survivors like experience! But, I also enjoyed it just the way it is! Great job!
Good job. This game has potential. Considering this is your first project, that's pretty cool. I also like the graphics. Cool game!
Interesting game, though a bit too hard, especially when you get a melee weapon while some enemies have ranged weapons. There also seems to be a bug or unfinished feature where the wave number is not displayed upon death, while it is indicated that it will be. Animation (character design) is very good.
This was pretty fun! Very fast-paced!
Some of the weapons were definitely better than others, but the variety was good! Obviously a few bugs but can look past that for a jam game!
This game has a big potential, but there are many problems. Firstly, the game doesn't save progress. As it is too hard, I wasn't even able to finish the game. With progress saves, I would... Secondly, there are many bugs. Maybe the most serious one is that health sometimes doesn't refill at the beginning of a new wave. Thirdly, the graphics aren't very good, especially the weapons. It's often impossible to recognize what they're supposed to be. But considering that this is your first game, good job.
Hello, and thank you for your feedback! Yes, the game is challenging, but we've playtested and adjusted the difficulty to make it more manageable but checkpoints would've been a good thing, we have a saving system but just for resuming the game if you exit, so in hindsight we could've implemented it and it would've been a good addition . Regarding the health issue, the game heals a percentage of your health at the start of each wave, so even if the health bar doesn't visibly change, you are definitely gaining health, it's more of a UI issue with the health bar not reflecting it accurately.
As for the weapons, you're right they may not be very detailed due to the 64x64 resolution constraint. We aimed to keep the screen uncluttered, so we had to compromise on the detail. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration for future games. Thanks again!
Really great work for your first game. I liked the randomized new weapons in between rounds. It was pretty funny to have an axe one round and then get what looked like a loaf of bread for the next round lol, I had a good time with this.
The melee weapons felt quite strong and good at crowd control. Some of the ranged weapons felt a little weak, like you could oneshot most enemies with an axe but it felt like the bow took quite a while to kill an enemy. It makes sense that the weapons have different stats, but the balance felt a little bit off. Also, consider adding a tiny bit of juice to some actions. Felt like a tiny bit of screen shake would go a long way.
I liked the enemy variety too, like how it seemed like the enemies drew from the same weapon pool as the player so I’d see an enemy with the Blue Tissue Box weapon (?) that I had the previous round, or a gun or loaf of bread (?), that was pretty cool.
Nice work!
Thank you for the detailed feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the randomized weapons and the enemy variety. We completely agree that adding a bit of screen shake would enhance the experience, and it slipped our mind during development. We also acknowledge that some of the weapons might have been a tad too weak, so increasing their damage could definitely improve the balance. Also, the "Blue Tissue Box" is actually a blue notebook haha, and the baguette is indeed one of the weapons. We appreciate your insights and will consider them for future jams and games. Thanks again for playing and for your thoughtful comments!
Well done on making your first game, it's fun and quite challenging and manages to hit the themes pretty well. Looking forward to seeing more from you.
Loved being able to pick a new weapon in between waves! And it was also smart to put a little timer in between the waves to give the player a bit of rest. Since some of the weapons have such a short range it can be a bit difficult to survive but I liked the way you used the "Unconventional Weapon" theme and the growing older part is a nice twist. Great work from you all putting together your first game and submitting it to the jam!
Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback! We really appreciate it. We aimed to balance the melee weapons with knockback, but we agree that increasing their range could have enhanced the gameplay. We're glad you enjoyed the weapon selection between waves and the brief rest period. Thanks again for your support and suggestions :D
congratulations on making your first game, I don't understand why everyone wants to break my teeth, I tried to defend myself until the end but...Congrats
Interesting game.. although in my opinion it's missing a background music for it to be a kicker🥊
By the way, I've encountered a bug when player character can be controlled after death while "Back" button is unresponsive.
Here's video (I turned off sound due to my own comments being recorded accidentally, sorry :P):
Really interesting entry with a nice idea. Sadly due to my fingers hurting I couldn’t go far, but what I have seen seemed interesting enough.
First weapon felt a little clumsy, I’m not sure if the range is iffy, but felt like I could not outrange my enemies, and them ganking on me, and the need to hit them from close felt like my only option was to stay still a tank all the hits.
Fun game! I really enjoyed all the chunky hit feedback and weapon variety! I was set on winning, but i got stuck between the horde, a desk, chair, and computer. Unfortunately I met a untimely fate before I could reach my elder years.
Just played Eternal Fighter! The game was super fast paced and filled with action!I couldnt figure out how to use the weapon as it wouldnt work for me but other then that awesome job!
