Was fun but wish the enemies didnt fly away when you extend the scoop makes it way more difficult to hit them fun concept all around tho well done

Very interesting gameplay idea. I liked capturing the asteroids to defend. It was a pretty good use of the theme. Good job!

Nice game. I survived as long as i can "3 waves". After i was utterly destrotyed and retried after the first wave the next wave didn't come. is it a bug or the aliens were scared of my might

They're definitely scared of you now! Either that or I forgot to reset a counter variable when you play again.

Quite unique and cool concept.

The concept is very original. The core mechanic , scooping up the asteroids, works very well. I really like the way the enemies avoid the arm.

It might have helped significantly if there was a way to control the rotation direction or the rotation speed, because the game is quite hard - and if you miss you need to wait for a whole rotation to shoot again, which can be a bit frustrating.

I didn't find the mining laser that useful, although it was fun.

Impressive that you decided to join a 48 hour jam for your first game jam and did so well!

Very Cool

Cool application of the theme. Felt good to fling a big astroid at a bunch of enemies. This game is hard though! Was a little hard to see when zoomed all the way out.

Smart concept. Fun to play, even if it's not so easy to aim.

Very nice concept. I love the scoop/fling mechanic.

Very good ! Especially for a first jam ! The visuals are very well used and it definetly fit the theme.

I thought we had the exact same gameplay idea at first but, yours turned out quite different.

A few feedbacks:

It could have been a good idea to add a way to speed up the rotation. if you miss your fling, you're just sitting duck for a full rotation.

I didn't had to use the laser a lot. since there was quite a lot of small asteroids spawning. Instead of breaking the big ones I often just pushed them toward the enemies.

Appart from that, a pretty solid game. Good job :)

Thanks for the feedback! Changing speed was on my mind, but time constraints held that (and other features) back.

Took  me a few waves to figure out what's going on :D a nice concept, but I think there should be some other defensive options. It is annoying to wait for the satellite to turn around.

PS: I'm tweeting about the games I play from this jam. Here is yours: https://twitter.com/TheAntonSem/status/1429503292338581505

In retrospect there should have been speed changes and other methods of defence (alternate projectiles for example), and instructions could have been clearer. I hope you enjoyed it, since I enjoyed making it, and thanks for the shout-out!

Nice scoop and throw concept :D!
Took a bit of getting used to, but made for a fun game!
I liked how the aliens would fall back from the scoop and you got a view of further into space, made for a great dynamic.
