I loved the retro style art and new history I learned.

Really awesome its music is great and the shooting and dodging is fun. Great game!
The art is great, the gameplay is a bit janky at times but overall is pretty fun, and I think the history was implemented really well, I was invested in the battle of the Guarani people and makes me want to study more on it which is a great plus! great stuff! :3
Glad you enjoyed the game! We tried to make the narrative part as short as possible for this game length, but we're planning to make a post-jam version of the game and fix some bugs after the voting period ends, so if you're interested, follow us to get updates, since we plan to tell more about the story :)
Well implemented platformer - really like the graphics for the humans. I didn't get very far as I'm useless at platformers. Maybe being in the line of fire immediately when you start is a bit too hard.
Also, the delay between landing and being able to shoot meant I couldn't jump in and kill a soldier without taking a hit. So I wasn't able to progress very far.
I love the subject matter you picked, and that in the end you brought up current events to match. Great work!
One piece of criticism: the arrow shooting was kinda frustrating, and for some reason when you shoot it doesn't decrease your arrow count. Also, some platforms you had to do a leap of faith to discover them lol
Thank you for your feedback. The arrow shooting was made to synchronize with the time of the shoot animation, maybe the animation time should be a bit more faster, and the arrow count wasn't completely finished on time. And about the camera, its position has the intention to give a little of trial and error touch, but, based on feedback, people didn't enjoyed so much. With that, the camera position will be adjusted so you'll be able to see where you're landing, before you jump.
Good use of platformer game mechanic and story telling elements. Only issue is that the player can jump through the level without killing the enemies (probably necessary collectables for player to pick up could improve the gameplay).
The camera movement following the player should have probably remained stationary. As the floating bound camera doesn't give the player any information about the surroundings to gain an in game advantage.
But overall very well designed the gameplay with art and sound. Well done.
great game! the art and sounds give the retro game feel, the controls are smooth and responsive , the gameplay is a fun and challenging platformer. The intro narration gave me the gist of the history which is cool . Overall I enjoyed playing! congratulations! keep it up!
Really good game! Feels like one of those old-school platformers. My only real criticism is that the controls are not somewhere in the game itself. The limited arrow mechanic is also interesting. Very well made and enjoyable.
Loved the pixel art and the NES-style music. At first I was annoyed with the bow shooting so long after hitting space, but eventually grew to enjoy it as a mechanic, and it makes sense. It adds a bit of puzzle to the combat. I liked that you could pick up your arrows again too afterward. Fun game, sad story. Well done. :)
Oh, it wasn't a bad mechanic, I enjoyed it. Each time I fell I ended up learning more about the level. I'm just not smart and kept trying to go fast and falling to my death. I like trial and error mechanics and basically anything that adds difficulty. Our game isn't easy either, sometimes you just have to make things difficult to add fun to it.
What a brutal way to end a game, and a story. It's sad to understand it's not pure fiction.
I loved this work of art, simply beautiful. Really good!
Pixel art is a masterpiece. The gameplay is solid. History is so fleshed out. Basically 10/10 from me!
The pixel art for this game is beautiful! I also liked the thematic limited arrow mechanic. The parallax background was also a very nice touch.
The camera for this game made it a little bit difficult to see whether I was jumping onto a platform or into an abyss, which felt unfair. Also - sometimes I found it frustrating when I was trying to jump up onto a platform but I hit my head.
Overall, great game!
