Very creative and a cool concept!
Very creative! Great use of the mic!
Really cool concept!
As all say, great job! This has a lot of potential to be a viral videogame where people sings, get scared and do a lot of covers.
The only thing I didn't like: in free play I wanted to record in my quest, but the trigger activated and messed everyting. Maybe instead of trigger could it be a different button or a floating one? So players doesn't mess the song accidentaly
Really liked this one! Loved the freeplay too
Awesome concept! It is creepy at first especially when I heard some one repeating myself XD
Awesome, I liked it a lot. Could certainly use some more cues to get the singing right (timing/pitch), but even entirely freeform like it is now, I enjoyed just live looping with myself. Playing all the voices at full volume does clip a lot unfortunately; adding some compression might help. Really nice set dressing overall.
In hindsight I should have picked a popular song so people would know what to do already. Queen's "we will rock you" perhaps.
It definitely needs clearer feedback and tutoring, and heavy playtesting, but hard to do in a jam!
There is a volume slider for the clones on the book but yeah ideally the user wouldn't have to do their own mixing.
Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

This looks great, and is very original.
But I didn't sing at all, and invocation still worked (or so it seems).
Does singing actually change anything?
I wanted the game to be more about "play" and "performance" rather than "checking your homework" and it being frustrating having to repeat things because you did them "wrong".
So you technically don't need to sing, but singing makes the game more fun, especially hearing yourself harmonizing with yourself, and hearing it build piece by piece.
I could have made that clear in the game but I wanted to try to trick the player into having fun.
Maybe I'll try it seriously whenever I'm alone at home. :D
Hey there I played your game during my playtesting stream you can watch it here https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2384636708?t=01h21m14s
It was a really original and cool idea! Got caught off guard having to sing live 😄 I do sing as a hobby (mostly Metal, both clean and saturated voice) but am a bit out of practice for some time now. Good polish overall and actually got a lil jumpscare at the end.
I actually wanted to include a similar mic feature in my own submission to make people do like a “HAAA!” in sync with their punches to increase the power of their flames (I think it’s called “Kiai”? I have never done martial arts).
And uuuh.. don’t mind me making a reference to a famous French comedy sketch near the end in freeplay mode. It’s about monks making cheese with… a special kind of “milk” 🗿
That was amazing! The growls! Thanks you very much, made my day. Nothing like video of a playthrough to help you improve a game.
Cool concept, but the random? The random vibrations of the controller were very confusing and I didn't know when to sing.
Again, I thought the textures were very well done and the general atmosphere created by the reverb was good, but as I said, I found it a bit confusing.
They should be in time with the drum beat. I think there is a problem with the very first run of the game though where shader compilation delay throws off the timing. If you run it again it should work.
As for when to sing, sing in time with the priest. They will sing each line twice. The first time you can just listen and the second time you sing with them.
Thanks for the feedback, it helps a lot!
Really cool concept! After spending so much time making silly noises, I was legitimately jump scared by the monster emerging at the end :-)
