Oooooofff, you could jump during the Pac-Man maze?! Why didn't I think of that?

Echoing statements of previous players: super-gorgeous and homely isometric art style, lovely animations, matching sounds / atmosphere, well-guided tutorials, and all-around a neat little world you created here. Wwwaaasss about to criticize that the default speed of the enemies were too difficult, and the slower speed was indeed too easy, but now will have to put jumping to the test.

Was surprised the game ended after the maze; thought it was a stopgap between the tutorial and the rest of the game, but can totally understand the limitations of nine days of dev time, and I think the art, UI / UX, sound, and other polishes were a worthy tradeoff. Do hope you get a chance to build on this after the jam ends!

Mac build seems to freeze at launch :( At least I got to listen to the pretty music LOL

Developer

Sorry! Wish I had a mac to test on; it's possible it's just very slow to start up, it can take a while I've noticed.

Amazing artstyle, captivating soundtrack

Quite a lot of content such as dialogue lines and I loved the twist with adding jump to pacman

Great submission, congrats!

Very original take on the pac man theme and absolutely georgeous art style. I don’t like the controls, though, at least with WASD, as you constantly have to move diagonally.

This is really good. The sound design and art are some of the best here. And the reveal mid way through is very amusing. 14/10 would consume pellets again.

Really cool visuals! Playing pac-man with a jump ability really changes things hehe

I loved this one! The art is fantastic and Blurple is super cool.

Lots of fun, well made.

Loved the art, overall very well made. Seeing the other comments I feel like an idiot now for not thinking about jumping during the pac man section :)

This had a great art style and the twist of being able to jump during the pac man section was neat. I wish there was a bit more of the using perspective to progress.

It took me a few times but I finished it eventually haha.

Wow, The colors are amazing, I loved the shadow you have made. Nice pac-man version with the jump so we have a chance to jump over the wall ! Music superb too.

My first impression was, Oh nice a puzzle game, where you have to rotate to discover new passages to go ! I would love to see more of that ! Really nice work ! I had a good time with your game !

The text appear out of the screen when I am in full screen for me.

I hope you will have the time to test my game :)

Hey I really loved this! Clean design, good tutorial / orientation to the controls. Felt like there was a lot of potential to the puzzle pathfinding at the beginning. I preferred that half of the game to the second half of the game - the first half felt more original and engaging to me, but I'm more of a puzzle platformer than an arcade gamer so that might just be personal preference!

I remember this game when it was still a work in progress, good that I haven't missed it. It is gorgeous, I especially love the background music. It kinda makes me feel bad for not making a space themed  game.

I just really wonder how y'all beat it in 30 seconds ^^ I ot stuck for a while.

It's an overall pleasant experience. Thank you!

i got a 37 second time on normal mode (this is on a very similar, but slightly older build before difficulties were added but it is still 'normal')

Try and beat it!

it looks excellent and the game at the end is fun. this should really be getting more attention

so what would you say is the message of this game? it seems like you had something in mind

Developer

I had some ideas for relating the ghosts to different emotional states for coping with stress/trauma/emptiness, but I ended up cutting it (with a ton of other stuff) for time reasons. There is a little bit of expanded dialog for players that beat the game twice, but I think in the current state the dialog will come across sorta opaque and confusing no matter what.

I was hoping that with the smaller amount of exposition, players could ascribe whatever they wanted to the core idea of consumption/emptiness.

Thanks for playing! :)

Great UI design really clean, the rendering is also very clean, quite polished, good one.

loved the visual art direction! packman 3D. XD

By the way: there is an unlockable harder difficulty after you beat the game once, but it's quite difficult!
