It's fun, but the difficulty curve is a bit weird. It's easy for most of the game, but it the last 30 seconds it just gets really hard for no reason.
The graphics were really cute and adorable. I also really like the thumbnail. Where did you draw that?
Thanks, I made it inside godot using an animation player, the models where made in Blockbench and I recorded it with a program called ScreenToGif
OK, Thanks!
Hey, I loved this one! The tree and rock fellas felt really alive and the game reminded me of PvZ in some way, which is cool. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the end, I found it extremely easy to just fill the whole area with the characters up until around 40s left I think when a wave like 8000x bigger simply decided to come and destroy everything almost instantly. I'd love to give it another try if the difficulty is rebalanced though!
Wow the difficulty ramped up spontaneosly :D
Amazing 3D models and great style overall, great submission!
really awesome!
the difficulty scaling could do with some readjustment to make it harder at the start and easier at the end, but really fun nevertheless
the title caught my eye and i so glad it did, this was so cute and fun!
As others have mentioned, the art is really cute! I had fun playing this and gave it a couple of tries. I also found ramping of the difficulty pretty overwhelming toward the end. I might give it another try to see if I can beat it, though.
I'd be interested to see what the team could have done with a little more time. I think having one additional tower, or a status effect on enemies, would open up a lot of play-styles.
Great work to the team! I hope you found the template helpful, too.
I absolutely love the music and graphics. The 3d models have such a cool look. It's a functioning tower defense game but unfortunately I think it's too slow. Also, on a 4k monitor, the HUD becomes puny unfortunately, very difficult to see. Overall its on the right track though and can't overstate how lovely the 3d models are.
Thank you so much!!
Took me a couple of tries, but I got there. I love the 3D models in this game, they're so full of personality. And the chill jazz music backing an onslaught of worms is pretty funny. The gameplay feels a bit light on strategy, though.
Mb it's my slow brain but it was too difficult for me so I couldn't beat the game(.
I like the idea of unlimited 3d space for tower defense and the start menu with keybinding is cool)
I like the unlit art aesthetic, it's very cohesive and cute. The trees especially felt very lively.
Would be interesting to see what the game would look like if you had more time to work on game balance / difficulty. Right now it seems like the only strategy that is effective is building a dense array of turrets early, because it's easy to be overrun if you let anything get destroyed.
Appreciated that the game has a full settings menu and let's you rebind keys.
The music was silky smooth. Loved it
Thank you so much! :D
Wanted to go to sleep. Now I'm talking to a duck.
Very cute design, it's goofy, i love it.
Pretty nice tower defense. Was fun to go through and build up a defense to try and survive the onslaught of enemies at the end
Currently it leans a bit too much into the initial base setup. I had built a base on my first run but didnt know about the limited range of the towers so ended up dying pretty quickly due to the initial 200 currency being much larger than the currency gained from defeating enemies
Its also very easy to die once you start taking damage since then the enemy wave snowballs (due to there being less towers now attacking them. And you gaining less currency due to not having more towers attacking them which lets you place less towers and not being able to repair) which is very punishing for mistakes
There was a slight bug (Im assuming its a bug) where the towers sometimes wouldnt target certain enemies for awhile letting them walk up and attack my towers and removing some of them
Overall though it plays well and the large amount of options youve got added in are a nice addition
I love tower defense. For one created on such short notice, it's great. The ambience and visuals were pretty cool too.
Models look so simple and so alive at the same time. Nicely executed game.
Fun game. I got overwhelmed super fast! It's very well put together and looks great though. You did a great job on the visuals!
Fun! Great job on the 3D models, I know all too well how difficult it is to do modeling after this game jam haha
Nice tower defence. I really liked the visuals.
I thought I was doing pretty well and then suddenly I got overrun
