very strong visual design and great level design. You introduced each concept perfectly

Loved this one! The sound and animation for level transitions felt really really good.

I do think the dash impact effect was a little too much, and would have felt juicier if it was a bit shorter. Also I saw that there is a music volume slider, but I never heard any music.

You nailed the theme with a totally unique game mechanic.

I like it, very fun :)

Thank you!

I have a pet peeve with games where the dash goes towards the aim direction instead of the movement direction, it makes no sense to me.

the time slowdown when Lloyds explode is neat, but maybe a bit too exaggerated, and at times inconsistent/unpredictable — mostly when dashing through multiple Lloyds, though I also experienced a few occasions where the slowdown didn’t seem to trigger at all.

outside of those nitpicks, this was really enjoyable and well executed! smooth and satisfying gameplay with a simple structure and interesting mechanics — I especially liked the gimmick introduced in “ME ME ME ME”. and I really dig the level title drops, very reminiscent of APE OUT. great stuff!

I definitely get the dash aim thing, I had trouble deciding which way to do it. Maybe I should’ve done it the other way.

Thank you for the feedback!

I almost missed the controls at first because they are hard to see. But once I figured it out, I was having a blast playing this! One of my favs so far

Developer

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

This might be the most juicy entry I've played so far, it genuinely just feels so good to play! The best part was spamming dash and managing to blow the enemies up all over the place at once. And the way you made the intro for the levels is just so satisfying too. Amazing job!

Wow, really nice game! Very creative. The only feedback I can give is about the menu, like Hangover also said below. The controls also didn't get enough contrast, so it's a little bad to read.

Incredible~! This submission is super polished and a clever interpretation of the theme. Would not have thought about doing a Splatoon style of game where you fill an empty void. I think the only bit of critique I could give would be about your menus. Your sliders were pretty small and I could barely make out the control layout you had on the right side of the menu. They blended into the background and I honestly would've preferred just having the same color as the other menu elements.

You definitely should develop this game some more, would be awesome to see where you take it if you continue it. Could see all different types of enemies and alternative ways to fill the level with color.

Awesome stuff and congrats on your first GWJ!

Thank you!

Definitely right about the controls, I won’t make that mistake again :) I’d love to develop it some more, so many ideas came up that I didn’t get time to implement.

Couldn't get past the second level as I keep running out of time. Would be good to have a mode where there is no timer? Cool entry, the spraying mechanism looks amazing! The control scheme is very difficult to read.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

Sorry, you didn’t get to see the rest. I’ll definitely keep that in mind for my next project.
