It's cool. I like the premise and the interaction with the characters.

Combat needs a bit of work. Just need some audio and visual clues that something is happening, like when you get hit and lose health.

Nice entry. Good aesthetic. Nice ambience.

Great first GWJ! Very fun, missing a few animations that would have made interpreting what was happening a little easier, but its a game jam game :)

Music was really good, liked the story too.

Congrats on your first GWJ! I really loved the story you told. The art and sound worked really well together. Great job!

Really good work for a first jam and first time godot user! Took me a couple of tries to beat the boss, but had fun!

Great job for a first jam! Definitely was a little tough with the enemies sticking to you, but overall was a nice job! Thanks for sharing!

This being your first jam is incredible. Thedemon form mechanic was really nice recovering only in human form, added depth. The enemy AI was a bit buggy sometimes, they stick to you but appart from that this entry is really solid.

Very cozy and fun!
In the end, the skeleton got stuck in me and I couldn't run from it, so I died! ;-;
But it's a very nice game, especially this being your first jam, congrats!

Transformation mechanic 10/10.  Engagement and story and atmosphere 10/10.  I'd love to play this game again once it has a little more polish.  Great entry!

Developer

First off, fun game, and the music is quite nice. The main map music is very atmospheric, and the boss music tense, though the latter doesn't loop. The art is also very pleasing to look at. I like the transform mechanic, and having to balance your fire's charge by going back and forth. The prison is very easy, feels more like an intro and tutorial, which is nice. But was not expecting the final boss to be that, I guess. Not saying it's bad, just unexpected. The boss itself is quite difficult, and a single mistake cost me my life, and I need to really focus to beat it, which I haven't yet. Very good overall.

Loved the "transform" mechanic. It was fun to shoot. Maybe it's too easy on the main map, though on the contrary the final boss is really challenging, I was not able to defeat it - you can also got stuck in the enemy, especially if you are close to the walls, and there is no way to get away.

I also love the illumination effects in the mini game, and also this is where the real challenge happens haha.

Hard game, but interesting! Make sure to remember to set your scaling to keep and canvas items, and then make sure you set the size of your canvas on itch to be a multiple of your actual resolution, so it expands nicely and is easier to see everything. Generally though the game seems good! Couldn't figure out how to get away from the one guard who chased me and died immediately, but figure that's probably a difficulty tweak that you didn't have time for, since it's such a short time. Great submission for a first-time sub!
